Aberto em 26 de agosto, o período de inscrições tem a duração de um mês
As inscrições para o concurso que vai escolher a Corte Real do Carnaval 2026 serão encerradas na sexta-feira (26). A seleção, idealizada e administrada pela Riotur, definirá o Rei Momo, Rainha, Primeira e Segunda Princesas. Já o concurso da Corte Real LGBT+ vai eleger o Muso, Musa e Pessoa Não Binária.
As inscrições são gratuitas e estão disponíveis por e-mail ou presencialmente na sede da Riotur, na Cidade Nova.
“O concurso da Corte Real valoriza a tradição do nosso Carnaval e reconhece a importância de quem representa oficialmente a festa. Ao mesmo tempo, a Corte Real LGBT+ reafirma o espírito democrático e diverso da maior celebração popular do mundo, mostrando que o Carnaval do Rio é para todos”, destacou Bernardo Fellows, presidente da Riotur.
Podem participar candidatos com 18 anos ou mais, residentes no Estado do Rio de Janeiro, com ensino fundamental completo. Para os cargos de Muso, Musa e Pessoa Não Binária, é necessário se identificar como integrante do grupo LGBT+.
O regulamento e a ficha de inscrição podem ser solicitados por e-mail ou retirados na sede da Riotur. As datas das eliminatórias serão divulgadas em breve. Pedidos de esclarecimento poderão ser encaminhados até o dia 26 de setembro.

Opened on August 26, the registration period lasts one month
Applications for the contest that will select the Royal Court of Carnival 2026 will close on Friday, September 26. The selection, designed and managed by Riotur, will define the King Momo, Queen, First and Second Princesses. Meanwhile, the LGBT+ Royal Court contest will elect the Muso (Male Muse), Musa (Female Muse), and Non-Binary Person.
Registration is free and can be completed via email or in person at Riotur headquarters in Cidade Nova.
“The Royal Court contest values the tradition of our Carnival and recognizes the importance of those who officially represent the festival. At the same time, the LGBT+ Royal Court reaffirms the democratic and diverse spirit of the world’s greatest popular celebration, showing that Rio’s Carnival is for everyone,” emphasized Bernardo Fellows, president of Riotur.
Eligible participants must be 18 years or older, residents of the State of Rio de Janeiro, with a completed elementary education. For the positions of Muso, Musa, and Non-Binary Person, candidates must identify as members of the LGBT+ community.
The regulations and application form can be requested by email or collected at Riotur headquarters. The dates of the elimination rounds will be announced soon. Requests for clarification can be submitted until September 26.
