RIO SEDIA SEMINÁRIO INTERNACIONAL SOBRE AVALIAÇÃO DA APRENDIZAGEM
A cidade do Rio de Janeiro, por meio da Secretaria Municipal de Educação, e a Organização das Nações Unidas para a Educação, Ciência e Cultura (UNESCO) promovem o Seminário Internacional de Avaliação de Aprendizagem: Pela Qualidade e Equidade em Educação, nos dias 8 e 9 de novembro. O evento discutirá os desafios e avanços dos sistemas de avaliação educacional, e contará com palestrantes de instituições como as universidades Harvard e Columbia (EUA), os Ministérios da Educação da Escócia e do Uruguai, a Fundação SEADE (Sistema Estadual de Análise de Dados) e o Conselho Nacional de Educação. Também estarão presentes gestores públicos, responsáveis pelos sistemas de avaliação municipais, estaduais e nacionais, pesquisadores e profissionais da área de educação, empresas de avaliação educacional, organizações não governamentais da área da educação e organismos internacionais.
A Secretária Municipal de Educação do Rio, Claudia Costin, participará na primeira mesa do dia 8 e do encerramento, no dia 9. Na ocasião, será apresentado o programa da Prefeitura do Rio Nenhuma Criança/Jovem a Menos, que desde 2010 monitora alunos e escolas a partir dos resultados obtidos em avaliações externas. Os alunos com as piores notas e as escolas que obtiveram os desempenhos mais baixos são acompanhados, caso a caso, com o objetivo de melhorar a qualidade do ensino nas unidades escolares da Prefeitura e a aprendizagem dos estudantes, buscando evitar que eles abandonem os estudos. Atualmente 14 mil alunos são monitorados pelo programa.

RIO HOSTS INTERNATIONAL SEMINAR ON LEARNING ASSESSMENT
The city of Rio de Janeiro, through the Municipal Education Department, and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) promotes the International Seminar on Evaluation of Learning: For Quality and Equity in Education, on November 8th and 9th. The event will discuss the challenges and advances in educational assessment systems, featuring speakers from institutions such as Harvard and Columbia (USA), the Ministries of Education in Scotland and Uruguay, the SEADE Foundation (State of Rio’s System of Data Analysis) and the National Council of Education. Will also attend the event public managers responsible for the city, state and national systems of evaluation, professionals in the field of education, educational assessment companies, non-governmental organizations in the area of education and international organizations.
The Municipal Secretary of Education of Rio, Ms. Claudia Costin, will participate in the first table of the 8th and of the closing on the 9th. At the occasion, will be presented the program from the City Hall Nenhuma Criança/Jovem a Menos (Not one child less), which since 2010 monitors students and schools with the results obtained in external evaluations. The students with the worst grades and schools that achieved the lowest performances are accompanied in each case, with the goal of improving the quality of education at the municipal schools and the students’ capacity of learning, seeking to avoid drop-outs. Currently 14,000 students are monitored by the program.
