Gabriel David comenta julgamento da Unidos de Padre Miguel e reage a apelido curioso

Durante os desfiles das campeãs na Marquês de Sapucaí, o presidente da Liga Independente das Escolas de Samba (Liesa), Gabriel David, falou ao canal Multishow sobre a polêmica envolvendo a Unidos de Padre Miguel. A agremiação, que estreou no Grupo Especial em 2025, recebeu notas que geraram grande debate entre os amantes do carnaval e especialistas do setor.
Gabriel David concordou que a escola pode ter sido mal julgada e garantiu que o caso será analisado na próxima plenária da Liesa. “A Unidos de Padre Miguel fez um desfile belíssimo, e entendemos que algumas questões podem ser debatidas. A plenária é o espaço correto para isso, e vamos tratar com responsabilidade”, afirmou.
Além do julgamento da Unidos de Padre Miguel, outro momento inusitado da entrevista foi a reação de Gabriel ao ser chamado de “Elon Musk de Nilópolis”, em referência ao empresário bilionário e sua atuação no mundo dos negócios. Bem-humorado, o presidente da Liesa riu do apelido e comentou: “Achei engraçado. Nilópolis tem sua própria essência e história no carnaval, mas fico lisonjeado com a brincadeira”.
A expectativa agora gira em torno das possíveis mudanças que a Liesa pode adotar para evitar polêmicas futuras e garantir maior transparência no julgamento das escolas.

During the Champions’ Parade at Marquês de Sapucaí, the president of the Independent League of Samba Schools (Liesa), Gabriel David, spoke to the Multishow channel about the controversy surrounding Unidos de Padre Miguel. The samba school, which debuted in the Special Group in 2025, received scores that sparked significant debate among carnival enthusiasts and industry experts.
Gabriel David agreed that the school may have been unfairly judged and assured that the matter will be reviewed in the next Liesa plenary session. “Unidos de Padre Miguel delivered a beautiful parade, and we understand that some issues can be debated. The plenary is the right place for that, and we will address it responsibly,” he stated.
Beyond the school’s evaluation, another unusual moment in the interview was Gabriel’s reaction to being called the “Elon Musk of Nilópolis,” a reference to the billionaire entrepreneur and his business ventures. With a good sense of humor, the Liesa president laughed at the nickname and commented, “I found it funny. Nilópolis has its own essence and history in carnival, but I take the joke as a compliment.”
Now, the focus shifts to the possible changes Liesa may implement to prevent future controversies and ensure greater transparency in the judging of samba schools.
