Beija-Flor brings a special parade to the Copacabana waterfront this Sunday

A Beija-Flor de Nilópolis vai ocupar a orla de Copacabana no próximo domingo (25) com um desfile especial na Avenida Atlântica, a partir das 15h. A ação, intitulada “Copacabana vai virar Bembé”, levará o canto, a energia e a força da comunidade azul e branca para um dos pontos mais conhecidos do Rio de Janeiro.
O desfile reunirá componentes da escola em uma celebração da cultura popular, da religiosidade de matriz africana e da identidade da comunidade nilopolitana. A concentração está marcada para as 15h, com início do desfile às 16h, na altura da Rua Santa Clara. A iniciativa marca o retorno da escola à orla com um formato tradicional, algo que não acontecia desde 2018, quando foi realizado o último desfile desse tipo.
Para o deslocamento dos integrantes, a Beija-Flor disponibilizará ônibus exclusivos para os desfiles/componentes, com saída às 13h da sede da Nilopolitana. O acesso ao local também poderá ser feito pelo Metrô – Estação Siqueira Campos.
A escola convida o público a acompanhar o desfile e participar da celebração, que promete transformar Copacabana em um grande palco de samba, tradição e manifestação cultural.

Beija-Flor brings a special parade to the Copacabana waterfront this Sunday
Beija-Flor de Nilópolis will take over the Copacabana waterfront next Sunday (the 25th) with a special parade along Avenida Atlântica, starting at 3:00 p.m. The initiative, titled “Copacabana Will Turn into Bembé,” will bring the singing, energy, and strength of the blue-and-white community to one of Rio de Janeiro’s most iconic locations.
The parade will gather members of the samba school in a celebration of popular culture, Afro-Brazilian religious traditions, and the identity of the Nilópolis community. The gathering is scheduled for 3:00 p.m., with the parade beginning at 4:00 p.m., near Rua Santa Clara.
The initiative marks the school’s return to the waterfront in a traditional format—something that had not happened since 2018, when the last parade of this kind was held.
For participants’ transportation, Beija-Flor will provide exclusive buses for parade members, departing at 1:00 p.m. from the Nilópolis headquarters. Access to the area can also be made via the subway at Siqueira Campos Station.
The school invites the public to watch the parade and take part in the celebration, which promises to turn Copacabana into a grand stage of samba, tradition, and cultural expression.
