Carnival Parade at Caminho Niemeyer to Feature a Straight-Line Runway
Desfile do carnaval no Caminho Niemeyer terá passarela em linha reta
O Carnaval de Niterói terá várias novidades em 2026, sendo a principal delas, a passarela em linha reta no Caminho Niemeyer. A proposta foi apresentada para as entidades carnavalescas pelo Presidente da Comissão do Carnaval, o Secretário de Governo, Paulo Bagueira e o Presidente da Neltur – Niterói Empresa de Lazer e Turismo-, André Bento, no encontro realizado por iniciativa da União das Escolas de Samba e Blocos Carnavalescos de Niterói (UESBCN) presidida por Marcelo Serpa.
As entidades carnavalescas solicitaram a gravação de um CD com todos os sambas-enredos e a produção de uma revista a ser distribuída ao público.
As propostas são para impactar ainda mais o desfile no Caminho Niemeyer, que ganhou mais visibilidade e interesse do público por acontecer uma semana antes da data oficial do carnaval carioca.
As novidades para melhorar a estrutura do Carnaval 2026 serão encaminhadas à Câmara Municipal, através de uma mensagem da Executiva do Prefeito de Niterói, Rodrigo Neves.
“Estamos dialogando com o mundo do samba para garantir que o Carnaval Niterói 2026 seja ainda mais bonito e organizado, preservando a tradição e promovendo melhorias na estrutura e no apoio às agremiações. Esse é um compromisso do prefeito Rodrigo Neves e de toda a nossa equipe para valorizar a cultura e o turismo da cidade”, afirmou Paulo Bagueira.
O Presidente da Neltur, André Bento, reforçou o compromisso da gestão com a festa popular. “O Carnaval é um patrimônio cultural de Niterói de grande impacto turístico. Nosso objetivo é apoiar as escolas e blocos para que possamos oferecer um espetáculo cada vez mais grandioso e seguro para o público, participantes e turistas, destacou.
Para Marcelo Serpa, a reunião foi um passo importante para fortalecer a parceria entre a Prefeitura e as agremiações.
“O diálogo aberto e a disposição para atender às demandas mostram que a cidade está empenhada em valorizar o samba e os sambistas. Isso é fundamental para que o Carnaval cresça com organização e respeito à nossa cultura”, disse.

Carnival Parade at Caminho Niemeyer to Feature a Straight-Line Runway
Niterói’s 2026 Carnival will bring several new features, the main one being a straight-line parade runway at Caminho Niemeyer. The proposal was presented to carnival organizations by the President of the Carnival Commission and Secretary of Government, Paulo Bagueira, along with the President of Neltur – Niterói Leisure and Tourism Company – André Bento, during a meeting organized by the Union of Samba Schools and Carnival Blocos of Niterói (UESBCN), chaired by Marcelo Serpa.
Carnival entities also requested the production of a CD containing all samba-enredos and a magazine to be distributed to the public. These initiatives aim to further enhance the parade at Caminho Niemeyer, which has gained visibility and public interest for taking place one week before the official Rio de Janeiro Carnival.
The proposed improvements to the 2026 Carnival structure will be submitted to the City Council through a message from the Executive Office of Niterói’s Mayor, Rodrigo Neves.
“We are in dialogue with the samba community to ensure that Niterói Carnival 2026 is even more beautiful and organized, preserving tradition while improving structure and support for the samba groups. This is a commitment by Mayor Rodrigo Neves and our entire team to value the city’s culture and tourism,” said Paulo Bagueira.
Neltur President André Bento reinforced the administration’s commitment to the popular celebration. “Carnival is a cultural heritage of Niterói with great tourist impact. Our goal is to support the samba schools and blocos so that we can offer an increasingly grand and safe spectacle for the public, participants, and tourists,” he stated.
For Marcelo Serpa, the meeting was an important step in strengthening the partnership between the City Hall and the samba groups. “The open dialogue and willingness to meet the demands show that the city is committed to valuing samba and its performers. This is essential for Carnival to grow with organization and respect for our culture,” he said.
