Caroline Lima é a nova rainha da escola Leão de Nova Iguaçu
Rumo ao carnaval de 2026, o Leão de Nova Iguaçu anunciou Caroline Lima como nova rainha da escola. A beldade retorna à agremiação onde começou a sua história no samba trazendo todo legado da sua família.
Caroline iniciou no carnaval como passista da escola em 2010. Depois venceu o concurso do carnaval da cidade se tornando princesa do carnaval de Nova Iguaçu nos anos de 2015 e 2016. No carnaval, já foi rainha de bateria do Engenho da Rainha, União de Jacarepaguá, Novo Império, entre outras escolas.
– É muito bom voltar para casa. Aqui no Leão foi onde tudo começou. Mesmo desfilando em outras escolas, sempre prestigiei os eventos, tenho grandes amigos na escola. Quando recebi o convite para me tornar rainha da escola não pensei duas vezes. Quero honrar a comunidade da cidade que eu moro e juntos levarmos o Leão de volta à Sapucaí. – Finalizou Caroline.
No carnaval de 2026, a escola tem como enredo “Maria Felipa”, desenvolvido pelos carnavalescos Flávio e Junior.

Caroline Lima Is the New Queen of Leão de Nova Iguaçu
Heading toward the 2026 Carnival, Leão de Nova Iguaçu has announced Caroline Lima as the school’s new queen. The beauty returns to the samba school where her journey in Carnival began, bringing with her the full legacy of her family.
Caroline started her Carnival career as a passista at the school in 2010. She later won the city’s Carnival contest, becoming Princess of the Nova Iguaçu Carnival in 2015 and 2016. In Carnival, she has also served as Queen of the Drums (Rainha de Bateria) for Engenho da Rainha, União de Jacarepaguá, Novo Império, among other schools.
“It feels wonderful to come back home. Leão is where everything began. Even while parading with other schools, I always supported the events and have great friends here. When I received the invitation to become the school’s queen, I didn’t think twice. I want to honor the community of the city where I live and, together, take Leão back to the Sapucaí,” Caroline concluded.
For the 2026 Carnival, the school’s theme will be “Maria Felipa,” developed by carnival designers Flávio and Junior.
