Copacabana escolhe Rainha do Carnaval 2026 em evento que celebra diversidade e protagonismo feminino
Concurso acontece no dia 27 de janeiro, no Restaurante Mabs, com inscrições gratuitas, premiação em dinheiro e show de Margarete Mendes
Copacabana será palco de uma celebração que une samba, cultura e representatividade. No dia 27 de janeiro, terça-feira, a partir das 20h, acontece a escolha da Rainha do Carnaval de Copacabana 2026, em evento realizado no Restaurante Mabs, na Avenida Atlântica.
Em sua segunda edição, o concurso tem como objetivo eleger uma mulher que represente a força, a beleza, a elegância e a diversidade do Carnaval carioca, valorizando o protagonismo feminino e a identidade cultural do bairro. A iniciativa é realizada por Viviane Castelo, com patrocínio oficial do Restaurante Mabs.
As inscrições são gratuitas e ficam abertas entre os dias 5 e 20 de janeiro. Podem participar mulheres a partir de 18 anos, moradoras do município do Rio de Janeiro. Não é obrigatório residir em Copacabana ou na Zona Sul. As candidatas podem se inscrever presencialmente no Restaurante Mabs ou pelo telefone e WhatsApp (21) 99378-2318. A escolha da roupa é de responsabilidade de cada participante.
Todas as inscritas deverão participar de um ensaio obrigatório, marcado para o dia 20 de janeiro, às 19h, no Restaurante Mabs. O encontro inclui apresentação oficial à imprensa, sessão de fotos, ensaio preparatório e coffee break. A ausência no ensaio resulta em desclassificação automática.
Durante o concurso, as candidatas serão avaliadas por uma comissão julgadora, com base em critérios como samba no pé, simpatia, elegância, desenvoltura e comunicação, além de entrevista individual no dia do evento.
A vencedora receberá o título oficial de Rainha do Carnaval de Copacabana 2026 e representará o evento em ações institucionais e divulgações relacionadas ao Carnaval. As três primeiras colocadas serão premiadas com valores em dinheiro, além de brindes oferecidos por apoiadores. O primeiro lugar receberá mil reais, o segundo seiscentos reais e o terceiro trezentos reais.
O evento contará ainda com apresentação especial da cantora Margarete Mendes, conhecida como A Negona do Axé, acompanhada pela Banda Mojubá, garantindo uma noite de celebração da música e da cultura popular.

Competition takes place on January 27 at Restaurante Mabs, with free registration, cash prizes, and a show by Margarete Mendes
Copacabana will be the stage for a celebration that brings together samba, culture, and representation. On Tuesday, January 27, starting at 8:00 p.m., the selection of the Queen of Carnival of Copacabana 2026 will take place at Restaurante Mabs, located on Avenida Atlântica.
Now in its second edition, the competition aims to crown a woman who embodies the strength, beauty, elegance, and diversity of Rio de Janeiro’s Carnival, highlighting female protagonism and the cultural identity of the neighborhood.
The initiative is organized by Viviane Castelo, with official sponsorship from Restaurante Mabs.
Registration is free and open from January 5 to January 20. Women aged 18 and over who reside in the city of Rio de Janeiro are eligible to participate. Residency in Copacabana or the South Zone is not required. Candidates may register in person at Restaurante Mabs or via phone and WhatsApp at +55 (21) 99378-2318. Outfit selection is the responsibility of each participant.
All registered contestants must attend a mandatory rehearsal scheduled for January 20 at 7:00 p.m., also at Restaurante Mabs. The meeting will include an official presentation to the press, a photo session, a preparatory rehearsal, and a coffee break. Failure to attend the rehearsal will result in automatic disqualification.
During the competition, candidates will be evaluated by a judging panel based on criteria such as samba skills, friendliness, elegance, stage presence, and communication, in addition to an individual interview on the day of the event.
The winner will receive the official title of Queen of Carnival of Copacabana 2026 and will represent the event in institutional activities and Carnival-related promotions. The top three finalists will receive cash prizes as well as gifts from sponsors: first place will receive R$1,000, second place R$600, and third place R$300.
The event will also feature a special performance by singer Margarete Mendes, known as A Negona do Axé, accompanied by Banda Mojubá, ensuring a night of celebration of music and popular culture.
