From the Paths of Samba to the Carnival Bar” Offers Open-Air Classes in the Streets of Vila Isabel and Maracanã
“Dos Caminhos do Samba ao Bar do Carnaval” promove aulas a céu aberto nas ruas de Vila Isabel e Maracanã
Nos dias 18 de janeiro e 1º de fevereiro acontece o roteiro “Dos Caminhos do Samba ao Bar do Carnaval”, uma aula-passeio pelas ruas de Vila Isabel e Maracanã terminando no Baródromo, referência de bar temático de Carnaval da cidade.
As aulas, organizadas e ministradas pelos professores Claudio Rocha e Carolina Grimião, em parceria com o Baródromo, passam por lugares onde a memória afetiva e histórica do samba se faz presente. E finaliza no bar que guarda tantas outras memórias de desfiles.
Com duas datas previstas para esse início de ano, o roteiro acontece no dia 18 de janeiro e 1º de fevereiro, às 10h, com início na Praça Barão de Drummond.

Para os idealizadores do projeto, o roteiro é um convite entre o passado e presente: “O Baródromo é mais que um bar. É um local de referência nessa encruzilhada de paixões que compõem os bairros de Vila Isabel e Maracanã. Ao ser história, ele também conta histórias. Revive desfiles, imortaliza figurinos, adereços, desenhos, camisas. Congrega, compartilha e se refaz na cadência de cada Carnaval”, explicam.

On January 18 and February 1, the itinerary “From the Paths of Samba to the Carnival Bar” takes place—an educational walking tour through the streets of Vila Isabel and Maracanã, ending at Baródromo, the city’s iconic Carnival-themed bar.
The classes, organized and taught by professors Claudio Rocha and Carolina Grimião, in partnership with Baródromo, pass through places where the emotional and historical memory of samba is deeply rooted, and conclude at the bar that preserves so many memories of Carnival parades.
With two dates scheduled at the beginning of the year, the tour will be held on January 18 and February 1, at 10 a.m., starting at Praça Barão de Drummond.

It revives parades, immortalizes costumes, props, sketches, and shirts. It brings people together, shares memories, and reinvents itself in the rhythm of each Carnival,” they explain.
