Sob a presidência de Thiago Carvalho, o GRESE Império da Tijuca mostra que organização e planejamento são características marcantes da atual gestão, mantendo viva a essência que consagrou a verde e branca do Morro da Formiga como uma das mais tradicionais do carnaval carioca.
Em 2025, o Império da Tijuca celebra um marco histórico: 85 anos de fundação, . Para o carnaval 2026 a agremiação prepara um desfile memorável no Grupo Prata, trazendo uma releitura de um dos maiores carnavais da sua trajetória, com São Jorge como tema do enredo.
O santo guerreiro, símbolo de coragem, fé e proteção, é o fio condutor de um projeto artístico e audiovisual que promete emocionar o público e reafirmar a identidade imperiana e, para celebrar esse momento de retomada e trabalho visando estar novamente no Sambódromo, a escola lançou clipe oficial . A ação marca mais um passo importante na preparação para o desfile de 2026, evidenciando o trabalho coletivo e a união entre comunidade, direção e parceiros criativos.

Under the leadership of President Thiago Carvalho, G.R.E.S.E. Império da Tijuca demonstrates that organization and planning are key hallmarks of its current administration, while keeping alive the essence that made the green and white school from Morro da Formiga one of the most traditional in Rio’s Carnival.
In 2025, Império da Tijuca celebrates a historic milestone — 85 years since its foundation. For the 2026 Carnival, the school is preparing a memorable parade in the Silver Group, presenting a reinterpretation of one of the greatest carnivals in its history, with Saint George as the theme of its storyline. The warrior saint — a symbol of courage, faith, and protection — serves as the guiding thread of an artistic and audiovisual project that promises to move the audience and reaffirm the Imperial identity.
To celebrate this moment of renewal and hard work aimed at returning to the Sambadrome, the school has released its official music video. The initiative marks another important step in preparing for the 2026 parade, highlighting the collective effort and unity between the community, the board, and creative partners.
