George Louzada anuncia turnê internacional por diversos países da Europa
O premiado coreógrafo e diretor artístico da Mocidade Independente de Padre Miguel, George Louzada, embarca em uma nova jornada: sua aguardada turnê internacional pela Europa, que acontecerá entre os dias 27 de maio e 31 de julho, passando por Espanha, Alemanha, França, Irlanda, Holanda, Inglaterra, Portugal e outras localidades.
Conhecido por seu trabalho à frente de alas e comissões de frente do carnaval carioca e por sua atuação como educador, Louzada soma mais de 30 prêmios ao longo da carreira, incluindo o prestigiado Estandarte de Ouro e é reconhecido como um dos nomes mais influentes da nova geração do samba e da dança brasileira.
A turnê organizada pela empresa francesa Samambaia eventos, inclui participações em eventos de grande destaque, como o Carnaval de Berlim (Alemanha), o Carnaval de Paris (França), onde liderará um projeto com mais de 50 dançarinas locais e o Festival Mega Samba em Sesimbra (Portugal), considerado o maior festival de samba da Europa. Neste último, dividirá os palcos com o também professor Gabriel Castro, para ministrar workshops de samba no pé feminino, masculino e comissão de frente.
Além das apresentações, Louzada irá compartilhar sua experiência e conhecimento em dança afro, street dance e danças urbanas, pilares de sua conexão com a ancestralidade. A estimativa é que a turnê movimente mais de 500 alunos.
“Levar o samba e nossa cultura para tantos lugares é mais do que uma realização profissional. É um ato de resistência e celebração da nossa ancestralidade”, afirma George Louzada.
Entre seus ex-alunos, destacam-se nomes como Gabi Mendes, musa da Mocidade, e Dedê Marinho, rainha de bateria da Unidos de Padre Miguel, prova viva da relevância de sua atuação na formação de talentos no samba.

George Louzada Announces International Tour Across Several European Countries
Award-winning choreographer and artistic director of Mocidade Independente de Padre Miguel, George Louzada, is embarking on a new journey: his highly anticipated international tour across Europe, taking place from May 27 to July 31. The tour will include stops in Spain, Germany, France, Ireland, the Netherlands, England, Portugal, and other locations.
Renowned for his work leading wings and front commissions in Rio’s Carnival, as well as his role as an educator, Louzada has received over 30 awards throughout his career, including the prestigious Estandarte de Ouro. He is recognized as one of the most influential figures of the new generation of samba and Brazilian dance.
Organized by the French company Samambaia Eventos, the tour includes appearances at major events such as the Berlin Carnival (Germany), the Paris Carnival (France)—where he will lead a project with over 50 local dancers—and the Mega Samba Festival in Sesimbra (Portugal), considered the largest samba festival in Europe. At the latter, he will share the stage with fellow instructor Gabriel Castro to lead workshops in samba no pé (female and male styles) and comissão de frente.
Beyond performances, Louzada will share his expertise in Afro dance, street dance, and urban dance styles, which form the foundation of his connection to ancestry. The tour is expected to engage over 500 students.
“Taking samba and our culture to so many places is more than a professional achievement. It is an act of resistance and a celebration of our ancestry,” says George Louzada.
Among his former students are notable names such as Gabi Mendes, muse of Mocidade, and Dedê Marinho, queen of drums for Unidos de Padre Miguel—living proof of his vital role in nurturing samba talent.
