Grande Sertão Negro” é o enredo da Independente da Praça da Bandeira para o Carnaval de 2026
Rumo ao desfile de 2026, a Independente da Praça da Bandeira anunciou o seu enredo. “Grande Sertão Negro” será desenvolvido pela enredista Flávia Alessandra e pelos carnavalescos Ricardo Paulino e Robson Goulart. A escola vai em busca do título da Série Prata e de uma vaga na Série Ouro em 2027.
A agremiação contará, de forma singela, a chegada dos negros à região do Nordeste, com suas tradições, culinária e cantos. A escola levará para a avenida, com muita irreverência, a história dos africanos que vieram compor essa região tão importante para o país, trazendo os bantos, os gegês-nagôs e toda a energia do povo preto e de suas etnias.
A Independente da Praça da Bandeira será a 6ª agremiação a desfilar no domingo de carnaval, 15 de fevereiro, na Intendente Magalhães. A escola integra o grupo da Série Prata, sob o comando da Superliga Carnavalesca do Brasil.

“Grande Sertão Negro” is the theme of Independente da Praça da Bandeira for Carnival 2026
On the road to Carnival 2026, Independente da Praça da Bandeira has announced its theme. “Grande Sertão Negro” will be developed by theme writer Flávia Alessandra and carnival designers Ricardo Paulino and Robson Goulart.
The school will compete for the Série Prata title and aim for a spot in Série Ouro in 2027. In a heartfelt tribute, the storyline will portray the arrival of Black people in Brazil’s Northeast, highlighting their traditions, cuisine, and songs. With irreverence and creativity, the school will bring to the avenue the history of Africans who helped shape this vital region of the country, celebrating the Bantu, the Jeje-Nagô, and the powerful energy of the Black people and their ethnicities.
Independente da Praça da Bandeira will be the 6th school to parade on Carnival Sunday, February 15, along Intendente Magalhães. The school is part of the Série Prata group, under the organization of the Superliga Carnavalesca do Brasil.
