Mestre Jordan convoca ritmistas para trabalhar rumo à pontuação máxima no Carnaval 2026
A bateria Sinfonia Imperial, do G.R.E.S.E. Império da Tijuca inicia sua caminhada rumo ao Carnaval 2026 nesta terça, 05 de agosto. Sob o comando de Mestre Jordan, o desempenho do segmento será, com certeza, um dos trunfos da escola do Morro da Formiga, na briga pela vaga na Série Ouro.
“Estamos elaborando um trabalho focado, moderno e alinhado à tradição da escola e, quanto antes começarmos, melhor será o resultado. Estar de volta à nossa quadra é importante porque estamos retornando à nossa origem e, esperamos que a comunidade esteja conosco nessa retomada”, diz o mestre.
Os ensaios acontecerão às terças-feiras, a partir das 19h. Jordan anuncia ainda que pretende realizar testes para novos integrantes, assim que haja possibilidade.
“O objetivo é gabaritar o quesito e o apoio da nossa diretoria está sendo fundamental. Havendo possibilidade, vamos realizar testes para novos ritmistas e a escolinha de percussão também está entre nossos desejos”, diz Jordan.
Para 2026, o Império da Tijuca está apostando na releitura do enredo em homenagem a São Jorge, apresentado em 2007. A escola será a primeira a pisar na avenida Intendente Magalhães, no dia 16 de fevereiro, segunda-feira, disputando o campeonato da Série Prata.

Mestre Jordan calls on drummers to strive for top marks at Carnival 2026
The Sinfonia Imperial drum section of G.R.E.S.E. Império da Tijuca begins its journey toward Carnival 2026 this Tuesday, August 5. Under the direction of Mestre Jordan, the segment’s performance will undoubtedly be one of the school’s key strengths in its fight for a spot in the Série Ouro.
“We’re developing a focused, modern project aligned with the school’s traditions, and the earlier we start, the better the results will be. Returning to our rehearsal space is important because it means going back to our roots, and we hope the community will join us in this new chapter,” said the mestre.
Rehearsals will take place every Tuesday, starting at 7 p.m. Jordan also announced plans to hold auditions for new members as soon as possible.
“Our goal is to ace this category, and the support from our leadership has been essential. If conditions allow, we’ll hold auditions for new drummers, and we also hope to launch a percussion training program,” Jordan added.
For 2026, Império da Tijuca is betting on a reinterpretation of the samba plot honoring Saint George, originally presented in 2007. The school will be the first to perform on Intendente Magalhães Avenue on Monday, February 16, as it competes in the Série Prata.
