Comemorando 70 anos, a Mocidade Independente de Padre Miguel aproveita a data para resgatar uma importante memória da sua história. A Verde e Branco se junta à Kappa para lançar mais uma icônica camisa. Desta vez, uma homenagem ao Independente Futebol Clube, time que originou a Escola de Samba.
A peça é uma reprodução fiel ao uniforme usado na época pelo clube que marcou história dentro dos campos cariocas e foi o elo de surgimento do pavilhão. Para estrelar a campanha, um dos maiores personagens dos gramados e dos sambas: Waldyr Trindade, o Vô Macumba. Conhecido por ser craque do time, o Independente também presidiu a Escola e é um dos maiores nomes dos 70 anos da Estrela Guia.
O diretor de marketing da Escola, Bryan Clem, reforça a importância de resgatar personagens tão importantes e valorizar a história da Mocidade.
“O Independente tem muito orgulho da sua história. Futebol e carnaval são paixões que mudam vidas no subúrbio e tínhamos muito desejo de homenagear o Vô Macumba e o IFC. A nossa missão é valorizar para que nunca esqueçam a importância daqueles que lutaram para que pudéssemos estar aqui hoje. Além da parceria com a Kappa, entregaremos uma coleção exclusiva para os 70 anos da Escola”, revela Bryan.

Celebrating 70 years of history, Mocidade Independente de Padre Miguel marks the milestone by reviving an important part of its origins. The Green and White has partnered with Kappa to release another iconic jersey — this time paying tribute to Independente Futebol Clube, the team that gave birth to the samba school.
The piece is a faithful reproduction of the uniform worn at the time by the club that made its mark on Rio’s football fields and became the foundation for the school’s creation.
To star in the campaign, one of the greatest figures in both football and samba: Waldyr Trindade, affectionately known as Vô Macumba. A talented player for Independente, he later became president of the samba school and remains one of the most iconic names in the 70-year history of the “Estrela Guia.”
The school’s marketing director, Bryan Clem, highlights the importance of honoring key figures and preserving Mocidade’s legacy:
