Prefeitura do Rio entrega obras de urbanização do Jardim Maravilha

A Prefeitura do Rio, por meio da Fundação Rio-Águas, entrega a primeira fase das obras de urbanização do Programa Bairro Maravilha, no Jardim Maravilha, na Zona Oeste da cidade. Com um investimento de R$ 50,9 milhões, a intervenção contemplou a implantação de infraestrutura de drenagem, redes de esgoto e abastecimento de água, além de pavimentação e calçadas com acessibilidade em 27 ruas do bairro, beneficiando milhares de moradores da região.

Também neste sábado, a Prefeitura, por meio da Secretaria Municipal de Infraestrutura, inaugura obras de drenagem e urbanização na Vila Alzira, em Paciência, e obras do Programa Bairro Maravilha em outras quatro localidades de Santa Cruz, Paciência, Guaratiba e Sepetiba. Serão entregues ainda obras de recuperação de uma área de lazer, feitas pela Riourbe, em Bento Ribeiro, e de recuperação da calha de um rio em Guadalupe, executada pela Rio Águas.

9h – O prefeito Eduardo Paes participa da abertura do SAHIC Hotel & Tourism Investment Forum – Latin America and The Caribbean, um dos maiores eventos de investimento no setor de hotelaria e turismo. O encontro, sediado no Rio de Janeiro, em Copacabana, reunirá os principais líderes do mercado, de diversos países, para debater inovação no setor e fechar acordos de cooperação e negócios.

2 – Prefeito abre Assembleia Geral da União das Cidades Capitais de Língua Portuguesa

10h – O prefeito Eduardo Paes participa da abertura e das reuniões iniciais da XLI Assembleia Geral da União das Cidades Capitais de Língua Portuguesa (UCCLA), no Palácio da Cidade, uma das sedes da Prefeitura do Rio. O encontro reunirá mais de 100 representantes oficiais de cidades lusófonas de países como Angola, Cabo Verde, Guiné-Bissau, Moçambique, Portugal, São Tomé e Príncipe e Timor-Leste. O evento promoverá acordos de cooperação e entendimento entre as cidades e abordará propostas para o Rio Capital Mundial do Livro, da UNESCO, que, pela primeira vez em 25 edições, será sediado por uma cidade lusófona, com atividades no Rio, a partir de 23 de abril.

Rio City Hall Delivers Urbanization Works in Jardim Maravilha
The Rio de Janeiro City Hall, through the Rio-Águas Foundation, is delivering the first phase of urbanization works under the Bairro Maravilha Program in Jardim Maravilha, located in the West Zone of the city. With an investment of R$ 50.9 million, the intervention included the installation of drainage infrastructure, sewage and water supply networks, as well as paving and accessible sidewalks on 27 streets in the neighborhood, benefiting thousands of residents.
Also on Saturday, the City Hall, through the Municipal Infrastructure Secretariat, will inaugurate drainage and urbanization works in Vila Alzira, Paciência, and additional Bairro Maravilha Program projects in four other locations: Santa Cruz, Paciência, Guaratiba, and Sepetiba. Furthermore, revitalization work on a recreational area in Bento Ribeiro, carried out by Riourbe, and the restoration of a river channel in Guadalupe, executed by Rio-Águas, will be delivered.

Hosted in Rio de Janeiro, in Copacabana, the event will bring together key industry leaders from various countries to discuss innovation in the sector and establish cooperation agreements and business deals.

2 – Mayor Opens the General Assembly of the Union of Portuguese-Speaking Capital Cities
• 10:00 AM – Mayor Eduardo Paes will participate in the opening and initial meetings of the XLI General Assembly of the Union of Portuguese-Speaking Capital Cities (UCCLA) at the Palácio da Cidade, one of Rio’s municipal headquarters. The meeting will gather over 100 official representatives from Portuguese-speaking cities in countries such as Angola, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Mozambique, Portugal, São Tomé and Príncipe, and Timor-Leste.
The event will foster cooperation agreements between cities and discuss initiatives for Rio as UNESCO’s World Book Capital, which, for the first time in 25 editions, will be hosted by a Portuguese-speaking city, with activities starting in Rio on April 23.
