A bateria da Botafogo Samba Clube já tem um novo comandante. Mestre Marfim retorna à agremiação para comandar a Ritmo Alvinegro após uma breve passagem no carnaval de 2020, onde alcançou os 40 pontos. Nos dois últimos anos esteve à frente da bateria da São Clemente, na Marquês de Sapucaí, também gabaritando o quesito.
– Após seis anos afastado e dedicação a outros projetos, retorno a Botafogo Samba Clube sentindo uma felicidade imensa. Lembranças de tempos de conquistas e da energia contagiante da comunidade. Estou certo que a Bateria Ritmo Alvinegro vai pulsar com a mesma força e vibração de anos atrás. Muito feliz em retornar pra escola que me deu a 1ª oportunidade de ser Mestre de Bateria no carnaval. – Revelou o Mestre.
Mestre Marfim é o primeiro nome confirmado na equipe da agremiação alvinegra para o carnaval de 2026. A escola ficou na 11ª classificação, permanecendo na Série Ouro em sua estreia na Marquês de Sapucaí.

Botafogo Samba Clube’s drum section has a new leader. Mestre Marfim is returning to the school to take charge of Ritmo Alvinegro after a brief stint in the 2020 carnival, where he achieved a perfect score of 40 points. Over the past two years, he led São Clemente’s bateria at Marquês de Sapucaí, also earning top marks in the category.
— After six years away, dedicating myself to other projects, I return to Botafogo Samba Clube with immense joy. Memories of past achievements and the vibrant energy of the community come rushing back. I am confident that Bateria Ritmo Alvinegro will beat with the same strength and passion as before. I am truly happy to return to the school that first gave me the opportunity to be a Mestre de Bateria in carnival. — said Mestre Marfim.
Mestre Marfim is the first confirmed name on the team for Botafogo Samba Clube’s 2026 carnival. The school finished in 11th place, securing its spot in the Série Ouro in its debut at Marquês de Sapucaí.
