O Brasil perde hoje uma das mulheres mais marcantes da nossa música e cultura. Artista talentosa e símbolo de representatividade na cultura brasileira, Preta Gil foi muito além da música. Sua voz ecoou em causas sociais importantes, sempre com autenticidade, deixando um legado de alegria e representatividade.

Mais do que artista, Preta foi um exemplo de força e dignidade. Enfrentou com bravura a luta contra o câncer, compartilhando sua jornada com o país e inspirando milhares de pessoas com sua coragem e fé.

Neste momento de dor, me solidarizo com o pai Gilberto Gil, com toda a família, amigos e admiradores.

NOTE OF CONDOLENCE

Today, Brazil mourns the loss of one of the most remarkable women in our music and cultural history. A talented artist and a symbol of representation in Brazilian culture, Preta Gil went far beyond music. Her voice resonated in important social causes, always with authenticity, leaving behind a legacy of joy and representation.
More than an artist, Preta was an example of strength and dignity. She bravely faced her battle against cancer, sharing her journey with the nation and inspiring thousands with her courage and faith.
In this moment of sorrow, I express my solidarity with her father, Gilberto Gil, as well as with her entire family, friends, and admirers.
