Na Tarde desta terça-feira (15), foi confirmada a presença de Átila Nunes em Reunião com o Presidente Edson Marinho

e a diretoria. Átila é reconhecido como defensor da liberdade religiosa e tem longa atuação contra a intolerância religiosa no Rio de Janeiro, tanto como político quanto como ativista. Ele foi relator da CPI da Intolerância na Alerj e criou a Delegacia de Crimes Raciais e Delitos de Intolerância (Decradi).

Além disso, a escola de samba prestará homenagem a Tancredo da Silva Pinto, o Tata Tancredo, importante líder religioso da Umbanda e do samba, reconhecido como “Papa Negro”. A homenagem destacará sua contribuição à cultura afro-brasileira e ao carnaval carioca, especialmente como fundador do bloco Deixa Falar.  Carnaval  2026

On the afternoon of Tuesday, July 15, the presence of Átila Nunes was confirmed at a meeting with President Edson Marinho
and the board of directors. Átila is widely recognized as a defender of religious freedom and has long fought against religious intolerance in Rio de Janeiro, both as a politician and an activist. He served as rapporteur of the Parliamentary Inquiry Commission on Religious Intolerance at the State Assembly (Alerj) and was responsible for the creation of the Office for Racial Crimes and Intolerance Offenses (Decradi).
In addition, the samba school will pay tribute to Tancredo da Silva Pinto, known as Tata Tancredo, a prominent religious leader in Umbanda and samba, affectionately referred to as the “Black Pope.” The tribute will highlight his contributions to Afro-Brazilian culture and the Rio Carnival, particularly as the founder of the bloco Deixa Falar.
