Portela terá eleição acirrada para escolher novo presidente no próximo mês
A tradicional escola de samba Portela se prepara para um dos momentos mais decisivos de sua história recente: a eleição que definirá sua nova diretoria executiva. Marcada para o próximo mês, a disputa promete ser das mais acirradas, mobilizando segmentos internos e apaixonados torcedores da azul e branca de Madureira.
O atual presidente, Fábio Pavão, já confirmou sua candidatura à reeleição e contará com um nome de peso como vice em sua chapa: o ex-presidente, professor e historiador Luís Carlos Magalhães. A aliança entre os dois é vista como uma tentativa de unir experiência administrativa e conhecimento histórico da escola, visando garantir continuidade e estabilidade para os próximos anos.
Pavão, que assumiu o comando da agremiação em um momento de grandes desafios, declarou que, caso reeleito, pretende intensificar imediatamente os trabalhos no barracão, com foco total na preparação para o desfile de 2026. A expectativa é que, com o apoio de Magalhães, o planejamento artístico e técnico seja ainda mais eficiente, reforçando o compromisso da chapa com a excelência e a tradição portelense.
Enquanto outras chapas ainda estão em processo de articulação, o clima já é de campanha nos bastidores da escola, e a comunidade portelense aguarda ansiosamente o desfecho dessa disputa, que certamente influenciará os rumos da agremiação nos próximos carnavais.

The traditional samba school Portela is gearing up for one of the most decisive moments in its recent history: the election that will determine its new executive board. Scheduled for next month, the contest is expected to be highly competitive, rallying internal factions and passionate supporters of the blue and white school from Madureira.
Current president Fábio Pavão has confirmed his candidacy for re-election and will have a prominent figure as his running mate: former president, professor, and historian Luís Carlos Magalhães. The alliance between the two is seen as an effort to combine administrative experience and historical knowledge of the school, aiming to ensure continuity and stability in the coming years.
Pavão, who took the helm during a time of great challenges, stated that if re-elected, he plans to immediately intensify preparations at the samba workshop, with full focus on the 2026 parade. With Magalhães’ support, the expectation is that the artistic and technical planning will become even more efficient, reinforcing the ticket’s commitment to excellence and Portela’s tradition.
While other tickets are still forming, the election atmosphere is already taking over the school’s backstage, and the Portela community eagerly awaits the outcome of a race that will undoubtedly shape the school’s direction in the next carnivals.
