Governo do Rio: Polícia Civil prende seis milicianos em churrasco de bandidos na Zona Oeste
Agentes também apreenderam armas, munições e mais de R$ 19 mil em espécie
O Governo do Estado, por meio da Polícia Civil, prendeu em flagrante, nesta terça-feira (14/10), seis integrantes da milícia que atua no bairro de Santa Cruz e adjacências, na Zona Oeste do Rio, e a esposa de um deles. Eles foram capturados pelos agentes da 36ª DP (Santa Cruz) em um salão de festas, no bairro de Paciência, na Zona Oeste.
– A Polícia Civil tem um importante histórico de atuação contra a milícia. Parabenizo nossos agentes pelo excelente trabalho, realizado com muita estratégia e inteligência, e reafirmo o compromisso das forças de segurança do Estado em combater esses crimes. Não vamos permitir que a milícia tenha controle das regiões e prejudiquem a nossa população – destacou o governador Cláudio Castro.
Os criminosos pertencem a um grupo paramilitar acusado de ameaçar os moradores da região. Após troca de informações de inteligência, a Polícia Civil descobriu onde o grupo estava reunido. No interior de um veículo que estava no local, foram apreendidos um fuzil, uma pistola, dois carregadores de pistola, dois carregadores de fuzil, munições, um rádio de comunicação, um giroscópio, um caderno com anotações de cobrança, placas de veículos e R$ 19,5 mil em espécie.
Todos os envolvidos foram conduzidos à delegacia, onde foram autuados em flagrante por porte ilegal de arma de fogo e constituição de milícia privada.

Officers also seized weapons, ammunition, and more than R$ 19,000 in cash
The State Government, through the Civil Police, arrested in the act this Tuesday (10/14) six members of a militia that operates in the neighborhood of Santa Cruz and surrounding areas, in Rio’s West Zone, along with the wife of one of them. They were captured by officers from the 36th Police Precinct (Santa Cruz) during a private gathering at a party hall in the neighborhood of Paciência, also in the West Zone.
“The Civil Police has a strong history of action against militia groups. I congratulate our officers for their excellent work, carried out with great strategy and intelligence, and I reaffirm the commitment of the State’s security forces to combat these crimes. We will not allow militias to control territories and harm our population,” said Governor Cláudio Castro.
The criminals belong to a paramilitary group accused of threatening residents in the region. After an exchange of intelligence information, the Civil Police located where the group had gathered. Inside a vehicle found at the scene, officers seized a rifle, a handgun, two handgun magazines, two rifle magazines, ammunition, a communication radio, a gyroscope, a notebook with records of extortion payments, license plates, and R$ 19,500 in cash.
All those involved were taken to the police station, where they were charged in the act for illegal possession of firearms and establishing a private militia.
