Rita Lee, a Padroeira da Liberdade!” é o enredo da Mocidade Independente de Padre Miguel para o Carnaval 2026.

Assinado pelo carnavalesco, Renato Lage, a Verde e Branca trará um dos maiores nomes da música, cultura e arte brasileira para a avenida. Falecida, em 2023, Rita entrou para a história brasileira com seu legado artístico e comportamental. Sempre à frente do tempo, Rita tem em seu DNA o vanguardismo, que também é uma das marcas dos Independentes.

O carnavalesco da Escola, Renato Lage, reforça a alegria de poder levar esse tema para a avenida.

“Não é uma apenas trajetória biográfica, mas sim um grito de independência musical, estética e comportamental. Rita foi uma das maiores mulheres do nosso país e temos muito orgulho de poder trazer esse enredo para o próximo carnaval.”

A divulgação da sinopse acontecerá no dia 02 de junho.

“Rita Lee, the Patron Saint of Freedom!” is the theme of Mocidade Independente de Padre Miguel for Carnival 2026.

Designed by carnival artist Renato Lage, the Green and White school will honor one of the greatest icons of Brazilian music, culture, and art on the avenue.
Rita Lee, who passed away in 2023, made history in Brazil through her artistic and behavioral legacy. Always ahead of her time, Rita carried the spirit of avant-garde in her DNA—something that also defines the essence of the Independentes.
The school’s carnival designer, Renato Lage, highlights the joy of bringing this theme to life on the avenue:
“This is not just a biographical journey, but a cry for musical, aesthetic, and behavioral independence. Rita was one of the greatest women in our country, and we are very proud to present this theme for the upcoming Carnival.”
The theme synopsis will be released on June 2nd.
