Samba das Yabás comemora 3 Anos de Axé, Resistência e Cultura neste domingo (27), no Teatro Popular Oscar Niemeyer, em Niterói.

Neste domingo, dia 27 de julho, a partir das 15h, o Teatro Popular Oscar Niemeyer, no Centro de Niterói, será palco de uma grande festa, com uma programação especial para todas as idades, destacando a importância sociocultural dos terreiros da região na preservação das tradições afro-brasileiras. A comemoração contará com um xirê e uma vibrante roda de samba, além de uma line-up poderosa, repleta de música, axé e resistência.

Entre as homenagens desta edição, destacam-se as baianas das escolas de samba Cubango e Viradouro, que serão celebradas como mães do samba. A festa será um verdadeiro tributo à força da mulher negra, especialmente àquelas que são as guardiãs da cultura e das tradições no samba.

O Samba das Yabás é um evento que também visa valorizar o sagrado feminino e sua relação com as yabás, as divindades femininas do Candomblé, e toda a espiritualidade que move a cultura afro-brasileira. Uma oportunidade única de celebrar a ancestralidade, a resistência e a importância das mulheres negras na construção do samba e das nossas tradições culturais.
O evento também terá Feira de Empreendedorismo afro com vários artesanatos; Área Kids ; Trancistas e Pintura Corporal Afro. Tudo de graça.

A festa do 3º aniversário do Samba das Yabás, tem patrocínio Prefeitura de Niterói, por meio da Secretaria Municipal das Culturas.  Nesses três anos de existência, o  evento vem trazendo para cidade sorriso, ancestralidade e a força das mulheres no samba,  com religiosidade afro-brasileira e  cultura popular.

Samba das Yabás Celebrates 3 Years of Axé, Resistance, and Culture this Sunday (27) at the Oscar Niemeyer Popular Theater in Niterói

This Sunday, July 27, starting at 3 PM, the Oscar Niemeyer Popular Theater, located in downtown Niterói, will host a major celebration with a special program for all ages, highlighting the sociocultural importance of the region’s terreiros in preserving Afro-Brazilian traditions.
The celebration will feature a xirê (ritual honoring the orixás) and a vibrant roda de samba, as well as a powerful line-up filled with music, axé, and resistance. Among this year’s honorees are the baianas from the Cubango and Viradouro samba schools, who will be celebrated as the “mothers of samba.” The event will pay a heartfelt tribute to the strength of Black women, especially those who serve as guardians of samba’s culture and traditions.
Samba das Yabás is an event that also seeks to uplift the sacred feminine and its connection to the yabás, the female deities of Candomblé, and to the spirituality that fuels Afro-Brazilian culture. It’s a unique opportunity to honor ancestry, resistance, and the vital role of Black women in the creation of samba and in the preservation of our cultural heritage.
The event will also feature an Afro Entrepreneurship Fair with handcrafted goods, a Kids’ Area, hair braiding, and Afro Body Painting – all free of charge.
The 3rd Anniversary of Samba das Yabás is sponsored by the City of Niterói, through the Municipal Department of Culture. Over the past three years, the event has brought joy, ancestry, and the power of women to the samba scene in the city, embracing Afro-Brazilian religiosity and popular culture.
