Unidos de Padre Miguel faz história com desfile inédito na Disney de Hong Kong
A Unidos de Padre Miguel levou neste sábado (21) o ritmo e o brilho do carnaval carioca para um dos palcos mais emblemáticos do entretenimento mundial: a Disney de Hong Kong, na China. A apresentação aconteceu pela manhã como parte do Festival Extravaganza, evento multicultural que segue até o dia 29 de junho com diversas ativações da escola em diferentes pontos da cidade.
Convidada oficialmente para representar o Brasil no festival, a agremiação desfilou com um elenco composto por integrantes da bateria “Guerreiros da Unidos ”, passistas, baianas, o segundo casal de mestre-sala e porta-bandeira, Emerson Faustino e Joana Falcão, e a rainha de bateria Andressa Marinho, que também atua como embaixadora do festival nesta edição especial.
Em um momento inédito para o samba, a Unidos se tornou a primeira escola de samba a se apresentar no tradicional parque temático da Disney, emocionando o público local e turistas com a potência da cultura popular brasileira.
“É uma emoção indescritível ver a nossa arte sendo aplaudida em um lugar tão simbólico. A Unidos está vivendo um capítulo histórico, representando o Brasil com dignidade e muita garra. Ver o samba atravessando o mundo e emocionando as pessoas aqui na China é motivo de muito orgulho”, destacou Cícero Costa, diretor de carnaval da escola, que acompanha a delegação em Hong Kong.
O Festival Extravaganza seguirá com uma programação intensa até o dia 29 de junho, reafirmando o compromisso da Unidos de Padre Miguel com a valorização e internacionalização do samba.

Unidos de Padre Miguel Makes History with Unprecedented Parade at Hong Kong Disneyland
On Saturday (June 21), Unidos de Padre Miguel brought the rhythm and sparkle of Rio’s Carnival to one of the world’s most iconic entertainment stages: Hong Kong Disneyland, in China. The performance took place in the morning as part of the Festival Extravaganza, a multicultural event running until June 29, featuring various activations by the samba school throughout the city.
Officially invited to represent Brazil at the festival, the school paraded with a cast that included members of its drum section Guerreiros da Unidos, samba dancers, baianas, the second mestre-sala and porta-bandeira couple, Emerson Faustino and Joana Falcão, and the bateria queen, Andressa Marinho, who also serves as an ambassador for this special edition of the festival.
In a groundbreaking moment for samba, Unidos became the first samba school to perform at the traditional Disney theme park, moving both the local audience and tourists with the strength and beauty of Brazilian popular culture.
“It’s an indescribable feeling to see our art being applauded in such a symbolic place. Unidos is living a historic moment, representing Brazil with dignity and great determination. Seeing samba cross the world and touch people here in China fills us with pride,” said Cícero Costa, the school’s Carnival director, who is accompanying the delegation in Hong Kong.
The Festival Extravaganza will continue with a full schedule through June 29, reaffirming Unidos de Padre Miguel’s commitment to the promotion and internationalization of samba.
