Unidos de Vila Isabel Muses Receive Costume Sketches for the 2026 Parade

Musas da Unidos de Vila Isabel recebem croquis das fantasias para o desfile de 2026

Nesta quarta-feira (1º), a Unidos de Vila Isabel entregou oficialmente às suas musas os croquis das fantasias que brilharão na Sapucaí durante o Carnaval de 2026. O grupo será formado por Gabi Martins, Luiza Caldi, Vivi Winkler, Dandara Oliveira, Monique Rizeto, Ainee Coutinho, Ray Figliuzzi, Juliana Moraes, Yasmin Lima e Ciça Ferreira.

Entre as estreantes estão Ainee Coutinho e Ray Figliuzzi, além das três vencedoras do Concurso de Musa da Comunidade, Juliana Moraes, Yasmin Lima e Ciça Ferreira, realizado durante a disputa de samba da escola.

Emocionada ao receber sua fantasia, Yasmin Lima relembrou sua trajetória:

“Comecei na Vila Isabel como passista em 2022, mas sou ligada à escola desde sempre, por ser do bairro e pela influência da minha família. Representar a escola, o bairro e a comunidade é um dos melhores momentos da minha vida. Estou emocionada com o croqui da fantasia e animada para brilhar na avenida em 2026, ao lado desse time de musas maravilhoso.”

Ciça Ferreira, também eleita no concurso, destacou a importância simbólica do cargo:

“Chegar como passista e conquistar o cargo de musa foi um sonho realizado. Estou feliz em representar a Vila Isabel, contar um pouco do samba-enredo e participar de algo tão significativo para a história de Heitor dos Prazeres. A fantasia foi feita com muito carinho, e espero encantar a todos na avenida.”

Juliana Moraes, terceira vencedora, celebrou a oportunidade de representar a comunidade:

“Representar a Vila Isabel é muito especial para mim, porque a escola valoriza ancestralidade, negritude e identidade. Vir como uma musa da comunidade, pé no chão, reforçando esse pertencimento. Desfilo na Vila há cinco anos e, como mãe e pedagoga, acredito ser fundamental transmitir às crianças a importância de conhecerem suas raízes e valorizarem a própria cultura.”

Com o enredo “Macumbembê, Samborembá: Sonhei que um sambista sonhou a África”, a Vila Isabel se prepara para um desfile que celebrará a arte, a ancestralidade e o samba, inspirado na obra de Heitor dos Prazeres — artista plástico, compositor e um dos grandes nomes da cultura carioca.

Unidos de Vila Isabel Muses Receive Costume Sketches for the 2026 Parade

This Wednesday (October 1), Unidos de Vila Isabel officially presented its muses with the costume sketches that will shine on the Sapucaí during Carnival 2026. The group will include Gabi Martins, Luiza Caldi, Vivi Winkler, Dandara Oliveira, Monique Rizeto, Ainee Coutinho, Ray Figliuzzi, Juliana Moraes, Yasmin Lima, and Ciça Ferreira.
Among the newcomers are Ainee Coutinho and Ray Figliuzzi, along with the three winners of the Community Muse Contest — Juliana Moraes, Yasmin Lima, and Ciça Ferreira — held during the school’s samba competition.
Overcome with emotion upon receiving her costume, Yasmin Lima reflected on her journey:
“I started at Vila Isabel as a passista in 2022, but I’ve always been connected to the school, since I’m from the neighborhood and influenced by my family. Representing the school, the neighborhood, and the community is one of the best moments of my life. I’m thrilled with the costume sketch and excited to shine on the avenue in 2026 alongside this wonderful group of muses.”
Also chosen through the contest, Ciça Ferreira highlighted the symbolic importance of the role:
“Starting out as a passista and then achieving the role of muse was a dream come true. I’m happy to represent Vila Isabel, to help tell a bit of the samba story, and to take part in something so meaningful to the legacy of Heitor dos Prazeres. The costume was created with great care, and I hope to enchant everyone on the avenue.”
The third winner, Juliana Moraes, celebrated the opportunity to represent the community:
“Representing Vila Isabel is very special to me because the school values ancestry, Black identity, and cultural roots. To parade as a community muse, grounded and true to our belonging, is an honor. I’ve been parading with Vila for five years, and as both a mother and educator, I believe it’s essential to teach children the importance of knowing their roots and valuing their own culture.”
With the theme “Macumbembê, Samborembá: I Dreamed That a Sambista Dreamed of Africa,” Vila Isabel is preparing for a parade that will celebrate art, ancestry, and samba, inspired by the work of Heitor dos Prazeres — painter, composer, and one of the great figures of Rio’s culture.
