No último sábado, 06, a União da Ilha do Governador realizou mais um grande esquenta na Cidade do Samba, e quem brilhou, literalmente, foi a musa Amanda Fernandes, que apresentou um figurino futurista inspirado no Cometa Halley. Em seu terceiro ano no posto, Amanda encantou o público com um traje que uniu brilho, conceito e referência direta ao enredo da escola para o Carnaval de 2026.
O figurino trouxe CDs, espelhos, peças metalizadas e elementos reflexivos, criando um visual cósmico que remetia à passagem do famoso cometa e ao imaginário que ele desperta até hoje. A estética futurista se conecta ao enredo “Viva o Hoje! O Amanhã? Fica Pra Depois!”, que explora como ciência e crenças populares se cruzam, relembrando a histeria mundial em torno do Cometa Halley e refletindo sobre a relação das pessoas com o presente e o futuro.
“Alô, alô, é da Terra! O Cometa Halley passou por aqui e a próxima parada foi a Cidade do Samba!”, brincou Amanda, em suas redes sociais comemorando o sucesso da apresentação e destacando a alegria de representar a escola com um figurino ousado e cheio de personalidade.

This past Saturday, the 6th, União da Ilha do Governador held another major esquenta at Cidade do Samba — and the one who truly shone, literally, was muse Amanda Fernandes, who appeared in a futuristic costume inspired by Halley’s Comet.
In her third year in the role, Amanda captivated the audience with an outfit that combined sparkle, concept, and a direct reference to the school’s theme for Carnival 2026. The costume featured CDs, mirrors, metallic pieces, and reflective elements, creating a cosmic look that evoked the passage of the famous comet and the imagination it continues to inspire today.
The futuristic aesthetic connects to the theme “Live Today! Tomorrow? We’ll Worry About It Later!”, which explores how science and popular beliefs intersect — recalling the global hysteria surrounding Halley’s Comet and reflecting on people’s relationship with the present and the future.
“Hello, hello, calling from Earth! Halley’s Comet passed by here and its next stop was Cidade do Samba!” Amanda joked on social media, celebrating the success of her appearance and highlighting the joy of representing the school with a bold, personality-filled costume.
