Vila Isabel reafirma suas raízes e reúne 5 mil pessoas na Pedra do Sal para apresentação dos sambas finalistas
A Unidos de Vila Isabel escreveu um capítulo histórico no último sábado (6), ao levar seus três sambas finalistas para o coração da Pequena África, na icônica Pedra do Sal. Cerca de 5 mil pessoas acompanharam a apresentação das obras concorrentes, em uma noite que reforçou a ligação da azul e branca com as origens do samba.
As três parcerias finalistas são lideradas por PC Feital, Moacyr Luz e André Diniz. O evento contou também com a tradicional roda de samba da Vila, transformando a Pedra em um grande terreiro de celebração popular.
“Ver a Pedra do Sal tão cheia, com essa energia contagiante que pulsa em cada um de nós, é o reflexo do amor que temos pelo Carnaval e pela ancestralidade que habita este chão. A Vila Isabel é raiz e futuro, e a Pedra do Sal é o berço dessa história”, afirmou Luiz Guimarães, presidente da escola.
A grande final da disputa de samba-enredo da Unidos de Vila Isabel será realizada na próxima sexta-feira (12), a partir das 22h, na quadra da escola (Avenida Boulevard 28 de Setembro, 382). Na ocasião, os três sambas retornam ao palco para a escolha do hino oficial que embalará a azul e branca no Carnaval 2026.
No próximo ano, a Vila Isabel levará para a Marquês de Sapucaí o enredo “Macumbembê, Samborembá: Sonhei que um sambista sonhou a África”, desenvolvido pelos carnavalescos Gabriel Haddad e Leonardo Bora, com pesquisa de Vinicius Natal. O tema presta homenagem à arte, à ancestralidade e ao samba, celebrando a memória de Heitor dos Prazeres, um dos grandes ícones da cultura popular brasileira.

Unidos de Vila Isabel wrote a historic chapter last Saturday (6), by taking its three finalist sambas to the heart of Little Africa, at the iconic Pedra do Sal. Around 5,000 people attended the presentation of the competing works, in a night that strengthened the blue-and-white school’s connection to the origins of samba. The three finalist partnerships are led by PC Feital, Moacyr Luz, and André Diniz.
The event also featured Vila’s traditional samba circle, transforming Pedra do Sal into a great yard of popular celebration.
“Seeing Pedra do Sal so full, with this contagious energy that beats in each of us, is a reflection of the love we have for Carnival and for the ancestry that inhabits this ground. Vila Isabel is root and future, and Pedra do Sal is the cradle of this story,” said Luiz Guimarães, the school’s president.
The grand final of Unidos de Vila Isabel’s samba contest will take place next Friday (12), starting at 10 p.m., at the school’s headquarters (Avenida Boulevard 28 de Setembro, 382). On that occasion, the three sambas will return to the stage for the choice of the official anthem that will carry the blue-and-white at Carnival 2026.
Next year, Vila Isabel will take to Marquês de Sapucaí the parade “Macumbembê, Samborembá: I Dreamed a Sambista Dreamed of Africa”, developed by carnival designers Gabriel Haddad and Leonardo Bora, with research by Vinicius Natal. The theme pays tribute to art, ancestry, and samba, celebrating the memory of Heitor dos Prazeres, one of the great icons of Brazilian popular culture.
