Operação Contenção: Polícia Civil realiza operação contra organização criminosa que explora comunidades da Zona Oeste
Agentes cumprem mandados de busca e apreensão na região
O Governo do Estado, por meio da Polícia Civil, Polícia Civil, realiza uma operação contra uma organização criminosa chefiada por um ex-miliciano que explora comunidades da Zona Oeste do Rio, nesta terça-feira (08/07). A ação é da Delegacia de Repressão a Entorpecentes (DRE). Os agentes cumprem mandados de busca e apreensão na região. De acordo com as investigações, o grupo estaria ligado a disputas territoriais visando à expansão da facção na região.
-A operação, além de prender traficantes, é importante para desarticular a estrutura financeira, logística e operacional da organização criminosa que há tempos vem atuando na área, levando insegurança e violência à nossa população – destaca o governador Cláudio Castro.
Segundo a Polícia Civil, a organização criminosa atua de forma violenta e estruturada nas comunidades do Barbante, Catiri, Vila Kennedy, e nos bairros de Campo Grande, Santa Cruz e Guaratiba. A ação também tem como objetivo desarticular a estrutura da organização criminosa e frear sua expansão territorial.

Agents execute search and seizure warrants in the region
The State Government, through the Civil Police, is carrying out an operation this Tuesday (July 8) against a criminal organization led by a former militia member who has been exploiting communities in Rio de Janeiro’s West Zone. The operation is being conducted by the Narcotics Repression Division (DRE), and agents are executing search and seizure warrants in the area. According to the investigation, the group is involved in territorial disputes aimed at expanding the faction’s influence in the region.
“In addition to arresting drug traffickers, this operation is essential for dismantling the financial, logistical, and operational structure of a criminal organization that has long operated in the region, spreading insecurity and violence among our population,” said Governor Cláudio Castro.
According to the Civil Police, the criminal group operates in a violent and well-structured manner in the communities of Barbante, Catiri, Vila Kennedy, and in the neighborhoods of Campo Grande, Santa Cruz, and Guaratiba. The operation also aims to dismantle the organization’s infrastructure and halt its territorial expansion.
