Para o carnaval de 2026, a Lins Imperial contará, no seu quadro de pesquisadores, com a dupla de professores Mateus Pranto e Kitalesi. Ao lado dos carnavalescos Agnaldo Correa e Edgley Cunha, os profissionais são responsáveis pela sinopse, pesquisa, desenvolvimento e defesa do enredo “Macacu – No caminho das águas cristalinas, reflete a alma da criação”.

Mateus Pranto é formado em Letras-Literaturas (UFRJ), com trabalhos e pesquisas voltados para o carnaval e a música. Na folia, atua como diretor cultural, enredista e compositor. Desde 2020 faz parte do time de pesquisadores da Lins Imperial e no último carnaval foi também enredista da Unidos da Tijuca.  

Seus enredos foram premiados nas seguintes ocasiões: Troféu Cultura Negra no Carnaval da Coordenadoria Executiva de Promoção da Igualdade Racial da Prefeitura do Rio de Janeiro (Lins Imperial 2022 e 2023) e Troféu Samba na Veia (Lins Imperial 2022). Foi um dos idealizadores da 1ª Semana de Carnaval & Empreendorismo da UFRJ, bem como do Troféu Madame Satã, relacionado ao enredo de 2023 da Lins Imperial, que reconhecia a importância de personalidades LGBTQIAP+ na luta contra a transfobia, homofobia, bifobia etc.

Pesquisador e doutorando em Letras Arnaldo César Roque, o Kitalesi tem 29 anos, é mineiro da cidade de Perdões, iniciado no Candomblé Congo-Angola, membro da comunidade Kupapa Unsaba (Bate Folha, Rio de Janeiro). No último carnaval, prestou consultoria à Estação Primeira de Mangueira e assina pelo segundo ano consecutivo a pesquisa da verde e rosa do Lins.

A Lins será a 12ª a desfilar, no domingo de carnaval, 15 de fevereiro de 2026 pela Série Prata do carnaval carioca.

For Carnival 2026, Lins Imperial will count on the expertise of professors Mateus Pranto and Kitalesi as part of its research team. Alongside carnival designers Agnaldo Correa and Edgley Cunha, they are responsible for the synopsis, research, development, and defense of the storyline “Macacu – On the path of crystal-clear waters, the soul of creation is reflected.”
Mateus Pranto holds a degree in Languages and Literatures (UFRJ), with work and research focused on carnival and music. In the festivities, he serves as a cultural director, storyline author, and composer. Since 2020, he has been part of Lins Imperial’s research team, and in the last carnival, he also worked as storyline author for Unidos da Tijuca.
His storylines have received recognition on several occasions: the Troféu Cultura Negra at the Carnival of the Executive Coordination for the Promotion of Racial Equality of the City of Rio de Janeiro (Lins Imperial 2022 and 2023), and the Troféu Samba na Veia (Lins Imperial 2022). He was also one of the creators of the 1st Carnival & Entrepreneurship Week at UFRJ, as well as the Troféu Madame Satã, linked to Lins Imperial’s 2023 storyline, which highlighted the importance of LGBTQIAP+ personalities in the fight against transphobia, homophobia, biphobia, among others.
Kitalesi, researcher and PhD candidate in Literature Arnaldo César Roque, is 29 years old, originally from Perdões, Minas Gerais. Initiated in Candomblé Congo-Angola, he is a member of the Kupapa Unsaba community (Bate Folha, Rio de Janeiro). In the last carnival, he provided consultancy for Estação Primeira de Mangueira, and this year marks his second consecutive season contributing research for Lins Imperial’s green and pink.
Lins Imperial will be the 12th school to parade, on Carnival Sunday, February 15, 2026, in the Silver Series of Rio de Janeiro’s carnival.
