Neste sábado (20) os sambas se apresentarão na quadra em mais uma eliminatória.
Na última quarta-feira (17), o Acadêmicos do Salgueiro reuniu toda a sua comunidade na Quadra da agremiação para uma audição fechada. Os componentes da Academia do Samba puderam escutar pela primeira vez os sambas selecionados para a semifinal na voz de Igor Sorriso, intérprete da escola.
Para Wilsinho Alves, diretor de Carnaval, essa audição é fundamental para que os componentes escolham o samba que vai representar o Salgueiro no carnaval de 2026, além de ser o primeiro grande encontro com a comunidade após o Carnaval passado. “O Salgueiro é democrático e valoriza muito a opinião dos componentes. Convocamos a comunidade para escutar e votar no seu samba favorito. E nas duas últimas finais, o samba campeão foi o favorito da comunidade”, conta o diretor.
E neste sábado (20) os sambas que seguem na disputa voltam a subir no palco do Torrão Amado para mais uma eliminatória. A semifinal contará com 5 parcerias e o show começa às 22h com o tradicional espetáculo dos segmentos do Salgueiro. E para quem não puder estar na quadra, a eliminatória contará com transmissão ao vivo pelo canal Salgueiro TV no YouTube, a partir das 23h.
A grande final da disputa está marcada para o dia 27 de setembro, quando, através de um grande show, será anunciado o hino oficial do Salgueiro para o próximo Carnaval.
Em 2026 o Salgueiro levará para a avenida o enredo “A delirante jornada carnavalesca da professora que não tinha medo de bruxa, de bacalhau e nem do pirata da perna-de-pau”, uma homenagem à eterna carnavalesca Rosa Magalhães, a maior campeã da Sapucaí.
Assinado por Jorge Silveira, em parceria com o curador Leonardo Antan, o enredo propõe um cortejo lúdico inspirado no universo criativo de Rosa, com passagens por bibliotecas encantadas, reinos imaginários e personagens dos contos de fadas, da mitologia e do folclore brasileiro.
O Salgueiro encerrará os desfiles do Grupo Especial na terça-feira de Carnaval, dia 17 de fevereiro de 2026, fechando com chave de ouro a última noite de folia na Marquês de Sapucaí.

Salgueiro Brings Community Together for Audition of Sambas Selected for the Semifinal
This Saturday (20), the sambas will be performed at the quadra in another elimination round.
Last Wednesday (17), Acadêmicos do Salgueiro gathered its entire community at the school’s quadra for a closed audition. Members of the Academia do Samba had the chance to listen for the first time to the sambas selected for the semifinal, performed by Igor Sorriso, the school’s lead singer.
For Wilsinho Alves, Carnival Director, this audition is essential for members to choose the samba that will represent Salgueiro in Carnival 2026, as well as being the first major gathering with the community after last year’s Carnival.
“Salgueiro is democratic and greatly values the opinion of its members. We called on the community to listen and vote for their favorite samba. And in the last two finals, the winning samba was the community’s top choice,” said the director.
And this Saturday (20), the sambas still in the running will once again take the stage of the Torrão Amado for another elimination round. The semifinal will feature five partnerships, with the show starting at 10 p.m., including the traditional presentation of Salgueiro’s segments. For those who cannot attend in person, the eliminatory will be broadcast live on Salgueiro TV’s YouTube channel starting at 11 p.m.
The grand final is set for September 27, when, through a spectacular show, Salgueiro’s official samba for the next Carnival will be announced.
In 2026, Salgueiro will bring to the avenue the theme “The Delirious Carnival Journey of the Teacher Who Wasn’t Afraid of Witches, Codfish, or the One-Legged Pirate”, a tribute to the legendary Carnival designer Rosa Magalhães, the greatest champion of Sapucaí. Conceived by Jorge Silveira in partnership with curator Leonardo Antan, the plot presents a playful parade inspired by Rosa’s creative universe, featuring enchanted libraries, imaginary kingdoms, and characters from fairy tales, mythology, and Brazilian folklore.
Salgueiro will close out the parades of the Special Group on Carnival Tuesday, February 17, 2026, ending the final night of revelry at the Sambadrome Marquês de Sapucaí on a high note.
