Enredo da Imperatriz Leopoldinense para o Carnaval 2026, o cantor Ney Matogrosso gravou nesta quarta-feira (24) o samba-enredo que a agremiação levará para a Marquês de Sapucaí.

O artista participou da gravação para as plataformas oficiais da Rio Carnaval, que terá lançamento em breve, ao lado de Pitty de Menezes, intérprete da escola, e do Mestre de Bateria, Lolo.

“Gostei muito. Espero que balance o coreto!”, disse Ney após a gravação.

Diretor de Carnaval da verde, branco e dourado, André Bonatte acompanhou toda a produção da faixa e celebrou a importância de ter Ney no projeto.

“É um momento muito festivo da Imperatriz, neste processo de transformação que a escola vem vivendo nos últimos tempos. E ninguém melhor para fazer parte disso que Ney Matogrosso. Ele, que tanto se transformou ao longo de mais de 50 anos de carreira. Uma honra muito grande para todos nós esse encontro. Bora se jogar na festa e esquecer o amanhã!”.

Em busca do 10º campeonato de sua história, a Imperatriz Leopoldinense será a segunda escola a desfilar no domingo de Carnaval (15/02). Com o enredo “Camaleônico”, do carnavalesco Leandro Vieira, a Rainha de Ramos prestará uma homenagem a Ney Matogrosso, celebrando o artista, a obra e a virtuosidade performática do intérprete de sucessos como “Sangue Latino”, “Rosa de Hiroshima”, “O Vira”, “Homem com H” e “Metamorfose Ambulante”.

The samba will soon be available on Rio Carnaval’s digital platforms; the school will bring to Marquês de Sapucaí the storyline “Camaleônico,” by carnival designer Leandro Vieira
For its 2026 Carnival storyline, Imperatriz Leopoldinense had singer Ney Matogrosso record, this Wednesday (24), the samba-enredo the school will present on Marquês de Sapucaí. The artist took part in the recording for Rio Carnaval’s official platforms—soon to be released—alongside Pitty de Menezes, the school’s lead singer, and Master of Drums Lolo.
“I really enjoyed it. I hope it shakes things up!” Ney said after the recording.
Imperatriz’s Carnival Director, André Bonatte, oversaw the entire production of the track and celebrated the importance of Ney’s presence in the project:
“This is a very festive moment for Imperatriz, within the process of transformation the school has been experiencing in recent times. And no one better to be part of this than Ney Matogrosso. He, who has transformed himself so much throughout more than 50 years of career. It’s a great honor for all of us to have this encounter. Let’s dive into the party and forget about tomorrow!”
Aiming for the 10th championship in its history, Imperatriz Leopoldinense will be the second school to parade on Carnival Sunday (02/15). With the storyline “Camaleônico”, by carnival designer Leandro Vieira, the Rainha de Ramos will pay tribute to Ney Matogrosso, celebrating the artist, his work, and the performative virtuosity of the interpreter of classics such as “Sangue Latino”, “Rosa de Hiroshima”, “O Vira”, “Homem com H”, and “Metamorfose Ambulante”.
