Mangueira pode ter um dos maiores poetas do país como compositor no próximo Carnaval*

“Invasão” Tucuju: Parceria com poeta amapaense disputa o samba-enredo da Verde e Rosa em 2026

A Estação Primeira de Mangueira, segunda maior campeã do Carnaval carioca, levará para a Sapucaí em 2026 o enredo “Mestre Sacaca do Encanto Tucuju – O Guardião da Amazônia Negra”. A proposta homenageia a vida e a força cultural do lendário mestre amapaense, símbolo da resistência afro-indígena da região Norte.

O tema mobilizou o Amapá e atraiu para a disputa de samba algumas das maiores referências culturais do estado. Joãozinho Gomes, considerado um dos maiores poetas do país e autor de Jeito Tucuju — canção reconhecida como hino cultural amapaense — uniu-se a Patrícia Bastos e Val Milhomem, vozes consagradas da cena nortista, para compor um samba que traduz a alma Tucuju.

“Como filho dessa terra, fico muito honrado de ver nossa história contada pela maior escola de samba do planeta, que é a Mangueira”, afirma Joãozinho Gomes. “Mestre Sacaca é uma referência para todo amapaense, e fazer um samba sobre ele é, acima de tudo, cantar nosso povo.”

A parceria, batizada de Samba 15, também conta com reforço carioca. Igor Leal, Pedro Terra, Paulo César Feital, Dr. Herval e Tomaz Miranda — nomes que juntos somam nove sambas oficiais da Verde e Rosa, incluindo os campeões de 2002 (Vou Invadir o Nordeste) e 2019 (Marielle) — unem forças com os artistas amapaenses para disputar o hino oficial.

“O samba é uma grande viagem pelo extremo norte do país. Visitamos a família de Mestre Sacaca, sentimos a energia do jeito Tucuju e, junto com Joãozinho e Patrícia Bastos, traduzimos isso em versos que unem Amazônia e Mangueira”, destaca Igor Leal.

O Samba 15 está entre os quatro finalistas da Estação Primeira de Mangueira e será defendido no próximo sábado, dia 27, na quadra da escola, quando será escolhido o hino oficial para o Carnaval 2026.

“Tucuju Invasion”: Partnership with Amapá poet competes in the Verde e Rosa samba contest for 2026
Estação Primeira de Mangueira, the second biggest champion of Rio’s Carnival, will bring to Sapucaí in 2026 the theme “Mestre Sacaca of the Tucuju Enchantment – The Guardian of the Black Amazon.” The storyline pays tribute to the life and cultural strength of the legendary master from Amapá, a symbol of Afro-Indigenous resistance in Brazil’s North.
The theme has mobilized the entire state of Amapá and drawn some of its greatest cultural icons into the samba competition. Joãozinho Gomes — regarded as one of the country’s greatest poets and author of Jeito Tucuju, a song celebrated as a cultural anthem of Amapá — teamed up with Patrícia Bastos and Val Milhomem, renowned voices from the northern scene, to compose a samba that conveys the Tucuju spirit.
“As a son of this land, I am very honored to see our story told by the greatest samba school on the planet, which is Mangueira,” says Joãozinho Gomes. “Mestre Sacaca is a reference for every Amapaense, and creating a samba about him is, above all, singing about our people.”
The partnership, known as Samba 15, also includes strong support from Rio. Igor Leal, Pedro Terra, Paulo César Feital, Dr. Herval, and Tomaz Miranda — names that together have written nine official sambas for the Verde e Rosa, including the championship anthems of 2002 (Vou Invadir o Nordeste) and 2019 (Marielle) — joined forces with the Amapá artists to compete for the official anthem.
“The samba is a great journey through Brazil’s far north. We visited Mestre Sacaca’s family, felt the energy of the jeito Tucuju, and together with Joãozinho and Patrícia Bastos, we translated it into verses that unite the Amazon and Mangueira,” highlights Igor Leal.
Samba 15 is among the four finalists of Estação Primeira de Mangueira and will be performed next Saturday, the 27th, at the school’s headquarters, when the official anthem for Carnival 2026 will be chosen.
