Mestre Vitinho reforça a União de Maricá como presidente da bateria

Comandante da bateria da Portela, ele assume cargo de honra na escola visando 2026; Paulinho Steves segue como mestre
A União de Maricá anunciou mais uma grande novidade para o Carnaval 2026. A escola confirmou, neste sábado (11), através de suas redes sociais, a chegada de Mestre Vitinho para ocupar o cargo de presidente da bateria Maricadência, comandada pelo Mestre Paulinho Steves. Ele foi recebido no barracão da escola, em São Cristóvão, pelo presidente Matheus Santos e pelo intérprete Zé Paulo Sierra, com quem também dividirá o trabalho na Portela, no Grupo Especial.
Apesar de assumir um cargo oficial apenas agora, o novo presidente da bateria já tem história com a União de Maricá. Ele desfilou pela escola na Intendente Magalhães, em 2022 e 2023, quando apresentou Paulinho Steves em seus dois primeiros anos à frente da Maricadência. Agora, retorna à agremiação para ocupar um cargo de honra, reforçando a equipe que busca o inédito título da Série Ouro e o acesso à elite do carnaval carioca. Vitinho celebrou o convite e destacou a alegria de estar oficialmente na escola:
“O Paulinho é um grande amigo, de muitos anos de convivência e respeito. Será uma honra somar com ele nesse projeto vitorioso da União de Maricá. Agradeço ao presidente Matheus Santos e a toda diretoria pela confiança. A escola tem um grande time e estar novamente ao lado do Zé Paulo, em duas casas, é algo muito especial”, disse Vitinho.
Mestre Paulinho Steves celebrou a chegada do parceiro à presidência da Maricadência. Ele destacou a importância de Vitinho assumir o posto para fortalecer o trabalho conjunto com toda a direção musical da agremiação e garantir uma trajetória de grandes resultados.
“O Vitinho é um verdadeiro irmão. Tê-lo na nossa escola é motivo de muita alegria. Sei que ele vem para somar e fortalecer ainda mais o nosso trabalho rumo a um grande carnaval, ao lado de toda bateria e toda parte musical”, comentou Steves.
Com mais esse reforço, a União de Maricá segue trabalhando visando a Série Ouro 2026. A escola será a sexta a desfilar no sábado, 14 de fevereiro, na Marquês de Sapucaí.

União de Maricá has announced yet another major addition for Carnival 2026. The school confirmed this Saturday (11), through its social media channels, the arrival of Mestre Vitinho, who will take on the position of president of the Maricadência drum section, which continues to be led by Mestre Paulinho Steves.
Vitinho was welcomed at the school’s workshop in São Cristóvão by president Matheus Santos and by interpreter Zé Paulo Sierra, with whom he will also work at Portela, in the Special Group.
Although he is only now officially taking on a role, the new president of the drum section already has history with União de Maricá. He paraded with the school at Intendente Magalhães in 2022 and 2023, when he introduced Paulinho Steves in his first two years ahead of Maricadência. Now, he returns to the school to occupy an honorary position, reinforcing the team that is seeking its first-ever Série Ouro title and promotion to the elite of Rio de Janeiro’s carnival.
Vitinho celebrated the invitation and expressed his happiness at officially joining the school:
“Paulinho is a great friend, someone I’ve shared many years of respect and companionship with. It will be an honor to join him in this winning project at União de Maricá. I thank president Matheus Santos and the entire board for their trust. The school has a great team, and being once again alongside Zé Paulo, in two different houses, is something truly special,” said Vitinho.
Mestre Paulinho Steves also celebrated his partner’s arrival to the presidency of Maricadência. He highlighted the importance of Vitinho taking on the position to strengthen the joint work with the school’s entire musical direction and ensure a path of great achievements.
“Vitinho is like a true brother. Having him at our school is a great joy. I know he is here to add and further strengthen our work toward a great carnival, alongside the entire drum section and musical team,” said Steves.
With this new addition, União de Maricá continues its preparations for the Série Ouro 2026. The school will be the sixth to parade on Saturday, February 14, at Marquês de Sapucaí.
