Cláudio Castro reajusta em 36% a remuneração extraordinária dos policiais militares

Além de corrigir o valor da tabela do RAS, decreto cria novo turno de 24 horas de serviço extra

Congelado há mais de seis anos, o valor do Regime Adicional de Serviço (RAS) da Polícia Militar do Rio de Janeiro será reajustado em 36%. A novidade foi anunciada na manhã desta sexta-feira (13/11) pelo governador Cláudio Castro, ao divulgar a tabela com os novos valores do RAS, que começam a vigorar a partir dos serviços prestados neste mês de dezembro em diante.

  • É uma satisfação muito grande atender o anseio dos nossos bravos policiais. O RAS não tinha correção desde maio de 2019. Esse reajuste representa mais uma ação concreta do nosso governo em investimento em segurança pública, tanto em recursos materiais quanto em recursos humanos – afirmou o governador Cláudio Castro.

O reajuste do RAS vai beneficiar milhares de policiais militares, praças e oficiais, que trabalham como voluntários em seus dias de folga. Diariamente, o policiamento ostensivo realizado pela corporação é reforçado por cerca de 5.300 policiais militares, que se inscrevem para trabalhar no RAS, através das unidades operacionais e do programa Segurança Presente. A nova tabela vai reger também os contratos do Programa Estadual de Integração na Segurança (PROEIS).

A valorização do policial tem reflexos positivos na sua vida pessoal e no seu desempenho profissional – disse o secretário de Estado de Polícia Militar, coronel Marcelo de Menezes.

O coronel Menezes se refere a duas novidades inseridas no decreto que formalizou as mudanças. Uma delas é a criação de uma nova categoria, a de sargentos e subtenentes, uma forma de prestigiar os policiais mais antigos. A partir de agora, serão quatro categorias, todas devidamente reajustadas: 1) oficial superior; 2) tenentes e capitães; 3) sargentos e subtenentes; 4) soldados e cabos.
A segunda novidade é a criação do RAS 24 horas, ou seja, mais uma faixa de pagamento. Até então eram três turnos: 6, 8 e 12 horas. O turno de 24 horas será empregado em situações excepcionais e/ou emergenciais, exclusivamente, mediante prévia autorização fundamentada do Comando-Geral da Corporação.

In addition to updating the RAS pay scale, the decree creates a new 24-hour extra-duty shift

Frozen for more than six years, the value of the Additional Service Regime (RAS) of the Rio de Janeiro Military Police will be increased by 36%. The announcement was made on Friday morning (11/13) by Governor Cláudio Castro, who released the updated RAS payment table. The new values will apply beginning with services performed from December onward.

“It is a great satisfaction to meet the demands of our brave police officers. The RAS had not been adjusted since May 2019. This increase represents yet another concrete action by our government in public security investment, both in material resources and human resources,” stated Governor Cláudio Castro.

The adjustment will benefit thousands of military police officers—both enlisted personnel and officers—who volunteer to work on their days off. Every day, the corporation’s ostensive policing is reinforced by approximately 5,300 military police officers who sign up for RAS shifts through operational units and the Segurança Presente program. The new table will also apply to contracts under the State Program for Integration in Security (PROEIS).

“The adjustment of the RAS pay scale and the creation of the 24-hour shift, along with the new category of sergeants and sub-lieutenants, are extremely important advances in valuing our troops. Valuing police officers has positive effects on both their personal lives and their professional performance,” said the State Secretary of Military Police, Colonel Marcelo de Menezes.

Colonel Menezes refers to two new features included in the decree that formalized the changes. One of them is the creation of a new category—sergeants and sub-lieutenants—as a way to honor more senior officers. From now on, there will be four categories, all adjusted accordingly:

Senior Officers

Lieutenants and Captains

Sergeants and Sub-Lieutenants

Soldiers and Corporals

The second new measure is the creation of the 24-hour RAS shift, adding a new compensation tier. Until now, RAS shifts were available in three durations: 6, 8, and 12 hours. The new 24-hour shift will be used exclusively in exceptional and/or emergency situations and only with prior, justified authorization from the Corporation’s General Command.
