Wallace Palhares recebe título de “Cidadão Niteroense” na Câmara Municipal
Em virtude da sua história no carnaval e toda trajetória levantando a bandeira do samba, o Presidente da Acadêmicos de Niterói, Wallace Palhares, recebeu uma homenagem especial na Câmara Municipal da cidade, sob indicação do Vereador Anderson Pipico. Dentre as homenagens, nosso gestor recebeu o título de “Cidadão Niteroense”, em pleno Dia Nacional do Samba, fruto de todo seu trabalho, principalmente à frente da agremiação azul e branca, campeã do carnaval 2025 pela Série Ouro e que estreará no Grupo Especial em 2026.
– Só tenho a agradecer a todos por essa homenagem tão especial, principalmente ao meu querido amigo e Vereador Anderson Pipico. São tantos anos de história no carnaval e receber essas homenagens, logo hoje no Dia Nacional do Samba, é um reconhecimento não só ao meu trabalho, mas de todas as conquistas. Hoje temos a comunidade que leva o nome da cidade no Grupo Especial, e receber esse título de cidadão Niteroense é saber que estou no caminho certo e que venham mais vitórias e realizações – afirma Wallace

Wallace Palhares Receives the Title of “Citizen of Niterói” at the City Council
In recognition of his history in carnival and his entire journey upholding the banner of samba, the President of Acadêmicos de Niterói, Wallace Palhares, received a special tribute at the City Council, following a nomination by Councilman Anderson Pipico.
Among the honors, our leader received the title of “Citizen of Niterói”, fittingly on National Samba Day, as a result of all his work—especially at the helm of the blue-and-white school, champion of the 2025 Carnival in the Série Ouro, and set to debut in the Grupo Especial in 2026.
“I can only thank everyone for this very special tribute, especially my dear friend and Councilman Anderson Pipico. There are so many years of history in carnival, and receiving these honors—on National Samba Day, no less—is a recognition not only of my work but of all our achievements. Today, we have a community that carries the city’s name into the Grupo Especial, and receiving this title of Citizen of Niterói shows me that I am on the right path. May more victories and accomplishments come,” says Wallace.
