Daniel Zarmanno aposta na potência dos tambores em apresentação na Cidade do Samba

Para seu retorno oficial como muso da Unidos da Ponte, o estilista Daniel Zarmanno participou da apresentação da escola no esquenta carnaval da Série Ouro, realizado na Cidade do Samba, neste sábado, 06.

Sempre entregando conceito nos figurinos, Daniel trouxe a potência dos tambores em sua apresentação. No enredo que engloba o movimento black e funk, os tambores eram utilizados por escravizados africanos para manterem suas tradições culturais vivas, o que se tornou um ato de resistência.

– Trouxe uma proposta completamente diferente do dia oficial.  Se hoje temos a resistência do movimento black é porque ele foi iniciado lá atrás, então eu quis trazer esse movimento de resistência nesta apresentação.

A Unidos da Ponte encerrará o carnaval da Série Ouro com o enredo ‘Tamborzão – O Rio é baile! O poder é black!’,sendo a última escola a desfilar no sábado, 16 de fevereiro

Daniel Zarmanno Highlights the Power of the Drums in Performance at Cidade do Samba

For his official return as muso of Unidos da Ponte, stylist Daniel Zarmanno took part in the school’s presentation during the Série Ouro warm-up event, held this Saturday (6) at Cidade do Samba. Known for always delivering strong concepts in his costumes, Daniel brought the power of the drums to the forefront of his performance.
In the storyline that embraces Black culture and funk, drums were used by enslaved Africans to keep their cultural traditions alive — an act of resistance that echoes through time.
“I brought a completely different proposal from what I’ll present on the official parade day. If today we have the resistance of the Black movement, it’s because it began long ago. So I wanted to bring that spirit of resistance in this presentation,” he said.
Unidos da Ponte will close the Série Ouro carnival with the theme “Tamborzão – Rio is Baile! The Power is Black!”, being the last school to parade on Saturday, February 16.
