Pelo terceiro ano consecutivo, a sede do Poder Executivo se torna um dos principais cenários natalinos do estado
Ao som de canções natalinas interpretadas pela Orquestra de Violinos do Rio, o Governo do Estado do Rio de Janeiro inaugurou, nesta quarta-feira (10/12), a iluminação especial do projeto “Luzes da Guanabara”. Pelo terceiro ano consecutivo, a fachada do Palácio Guanabara se transforma em um dos principais cenários das celebrações de Natal no estado. A abertura contou a chegada do Papai Noel, acompanhado da Mamãe Noel, em um momento que emocionou o público presente.
A entrada principal da sede oficial do Governo do Estado estará iluminada até o dia 6 de janeiro por 150 mil leds. Para dar ainda mais charme à decoração, a tradicional árvore de Natal instalada na entrada do Palácio vai contar com acessibilidade, incluindo piso tátil, intérprete de Libras e cartões natalinos em Libras.
— O clima natalino sempre nos traz lembranças das coisas boas que vivemos ao lado de nossas famílias. Quando nos aproximamos das celebrações de fim de ano, temos a oportunidade de agradecer e refletir sobre tudo o que vivemos. Como governador do Rio de Janeiro, se pudesse fazer um pedido de Natal, gostaria que toda a família fluminense tivesse uma mesa com fartura, harmonia e muito amor, não só nesse Natal, mas todos os dias. O Luzes da Guanabara já virou uma tradição que ilumina não só o Palácio Guanabara, mas também o espírito do nosso estado — disse o governador Cláudio Castro.
O projeto do Governo do Estado é realizado pela Secretaria de Cultura e Economia Criativa e pela Subsecretaria de Grandes Eventos, com apoio da Light. Além da decoração, que também se estende às palmeiras e árvores na frente do Palácio Guanabara, estão previstos mais dois shows gratuitos: um no dia 18 de dezembro e outro no dia 6 de janeiro, ambos às 18h.

É o terceiro ano do projeto e estou cada vez mais apaixonada. É uma experiência única que une as pessoas ao espírito natalino — celebrou a primeira-dama Analine Castro, presidente de honra do RioSolidario.
A iniciativa contribui para o fortalecimento do turismo e para dar visibilidade a artistas e profissionais da cadeia criativa, ampliando o calendário cultural da capital fluminense.

For the third consecutive year, the seat of the Executive Branch becomes one of the state’s main Christmas landmarks
To the sound of Christmas songs performed by the Rio Violin Orchestra, the Government of the State of Rio de Janeiro inaugurated, this Wednesday (12/10), the special lighting of the “Lights of Guanabara” project. For the third consecutive year, the façade of Guanabara Palace becomes one of the main settings for Christmas celebrations in the state.
The opening event featured the arrival of Santa Claus, accompanied by Mrs. Claus, in a moment that moved the audience. The main entrance of the State Government’s official headquarters will remain illuminated until January 6 with 150,000 LEDs. Adding even more charm to the decorations, the traditional Christmas tree at the entrance of the Palace will be accessible, including tactile flooring, a Brazilian Sign Language interpreter, and Christmas cards in Libras.
— The Christmas season always brings back memories of the good moments we share with our families. As we approach the end-of-year celebrations, we have the opportunity to give thanks and reflect on all that we’ve experienced. As governor of Rio de Janeiro, if I could make a Christmas wish, I would want every family in our state to have a table full of abundance, harmony, and lots of love — not only this Christmas, but every day. The Lights of Guanabara has already become a tradition that lights up not only Guanabara Palace, but also the spirit of our state, — said Governor Cláudio Castro.
The project is carried out by the State Secretariat for Culture and Creative Economy and the Subsecretariat for Major Events, with support from Light. In addition to the decorations, which also cover the palm trees and other trees in front of Guanabara Palace, two more free shows are scheduled: one on December 18 and another on January 6, both at 6 p.m.

The initiative helps strengthen tourism and give visibility to artists and professionals in the creative sector, expanding the cultural calendar of the state capital.
