O ritmo do maior espetáculo da Terra está pronto para contagiar as areias da Praia de Copacabana. Em um movimento inédito, a Liga Independente das Escolas de Samba do Rio de Janeiro (LIESA) anuncia o Carnaval Fan Fest, uma ativação do projeto Rio Capital do Carnaval, que levará ao público, de maneira gratuita, apresentações das escolas de samba, oficinas de sambistas e shows com grandes encontros da música brasileira. O espaço abrirá no dia 20 de janeiro e funcionará em todas as sextas-feiras, sábados e domingos, além dos dias de desfiles oficiais, até o Sábado das Campeãs.
Logo na abertura, no feriado do dia 20, os sambistas chegam para mostrar a força cultural do Rio Carnaval em uma iniciativa que pretende entrar para a história, ao formar a “maior bateria do mundo”. Com cerca de 1.200 ritmistas e mestres de todas as agremiações do Grupo Especial, o grupo reunirá, ainda, personalidades da folia, que terá a chancela do “Guinness World Records”.
Com o conceito “Sinta o Carnaval”, o público também será convidado a conhecer e experimentar algumas etapas do desfile, por meio de oficinas com sambistas e até mesmo um cortejo carnavalesco simbólico ao pôr do sol.
“O Carnaval Fan Fest é a nossa resposta a um desejo antigo: fazer com que mais pessoas possam sentir a energia indescritível da Sapucaí, muito além dos 80 minutos de desfile”, afirma Gabriel David, presidente da Liesa. “Estamos quebrando as barreiras entre o público e a festa, convidando todos a não apenas assistir, mas a sentir o Carnaval. É um projeto que nasce para ser inclusivo, inovador e 100% carioca.”
E não para por aí. As noites serão marcadas por grandes encontros da música brasileira no palco principal, em shows que unirão o samba com outros ritmos nacionais. Já estão confirmadas apresentações que reunirão Neguinho da Beija-Flor e Belo, Pretinho da Serrinha e Marcelo D2, Jorge Aragão e Gilsons, entre outras atrações que serão anunciadas em breve.
Todos os ensaios técnicos e desfiles oficiais do Sambódromo também serão transmitidos nos telões do local.

Activation of the Rio Capital of Carnival project will feature samba workshops, performances by samba schools, and free shows bringing together major names in Brazilian music
The rhythm of the greatest show on Earth is ready to sweep across the sands of Copacabana Beach. In an unprecedented move, the Independent League of Samba Schools of Rio de Janeiro (LIESA) announces the Carnival Fan Fest, an activation of the Rio Capital of Carnival project that will offer the public, free of charge, performances by samba schools, workshops led by sambistas, and shows featuring major encounters in Brazilian music.
The venue will open on January 20 and will operate every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, as well as on the official parade days, through the Champions’ Saturday. Right at the opening, on the January 20 holiday, sambistas will arrive to showcase the cultural strength of Rio Carnival in an initiative that aims to make history by forming the “largest drum ensemble in the world.” With around 1,200 drummers and masters from all the Special Group samba schools, the ensemble will also bring together leading Carnival personalities, under the endorsement of Guinness World Records.
Under the concept “Feel the Carnival,” the public will also be invited to discover and experience some stages of the parade through workshops with sambistas and even a symbolic carnival procession at sunset.
“The Carnival Fan Fest is our answer to a long-standing desire: to allow more people to feel the indescribable energy of the Sambadrome, far beyond the 80 minutes of the parade,” says Gabriel David, president of LIESA. “We are breaking down the barriers between the public and the celebration, inviting everyone not just to watch, but to feel the Carnival. It is a project born to be inclusive, innovative, and 100% carioca.”
And it doesn’t stop there. The nights will be marked by major encounters in Brazilian music on the main stage, with shows that will blend samba with other national rhythms. Confirmed performances include joint appearances by Neguinho da Beija-Flor and Belo, Pretinho da Serrinha and Marcelo D2, Jorge Aragão and Gilsons, among other attractions to be announced soon. All technical rehearsals and official parades from the Sambadrome will also be broadcast on the venue’s big screens.
