Ação social reuniu comunidade, distribuiu centenas de brinquedos e reforçou os laços da escola com seu território
O Acadêmicos do Salgueiro promoveu, na tarde do último domingo (21), uma grande ação social no Morro do Salgueiro, levando o espírito natalino para a comunidade. A partir das 16h30, crianças e famílias acompanharam a chegada do Papai Noel e participaram da entrega de centenas de brinquedos, em um momento marcado por alegria, afeto e celebração.
A iniciativa reforça a relação histórica da escola de samba com o território onde nasceu e mantém vivas suas raízes culturais e sociais. Durante a ação, crianças puderam brincar, se divertir e receber presentes, transformando a tarde em uma verdadeira festa de Natal.
Presente no evento, a embaixadora do Salgueiro, Sabrina Ginga, destacou a importância simbólica da ação para a escola e para a comunidade. “Estar aqui hoje é emocionante. É voltar às origens, ao lugar onde tudo começou. Essa ação não é só sobre brinquedos, é sobre carinho, pertencimento e respeito. É a forma que o Salgueiro encontra de cuidar do seu chão, da sua gente e de manter viva essa conexão tão verdadeira com a comunidade”.
Moradora do Morro do Salgueiro, Tia Nô, que participa da ação todos os anos, celebrou o impacto do evento para as crianças. “Esse dia é muito especial. A gente espera o ano inteiro por esse momento. Ver o sorriso das crianças, elas brincando, se divertindo e ainda ganhando um presente não tem preço. É uma lembrança que elas levam para a vida toda”.
A entrega de brinquedos no Morro do Salgueiro já faz parte do calendário de ações sociais da escola, reafirmando o compromisso do Salgueiro com responsabilidade social, inclusão e fortalecimento dos laços com sua comunidade.

Community outreach brings residents together, distributes hundreds of toys, and strengthens the samba school’s ties to its home territory
Acadêmicos do Salgueiro held a major social outreach action on the afternoon of last Sunday (21) in Morro do Salgueiro, bringing the Christmas spirit to the community. Starting at 4:30 p.m., children and families welcomed Santa Claus and took part in the distribution of hundreds of toys, in a moment marked by joy, affection, and celebration.
The initiative reinforces the samba school’s historic relationship with the territory where it was founded, keeping its cultural and social roots alive. During the event, children were able to play, have fun, and receive gifts, turning the afternoon into a true Christmas celebration.
Present at the event, Salgueiro ambassador Sabrina Ginga highlighted the symbolic importance of the action for both the school and the community. “Being here today is moving. It’s returning to our origins, to the place where everything began. This action isn’t just about toys; it’s about care, belonging, and respect. It’s Salgueiro’s way of taking care of its ground, its people, and keeping this very real connection with the community alive,” she said.
A resident of Morro do Salgueiro, Tia Nô—who takes part in the initiative every year—celebrated the event’s impact on the children. “This day is very special. We wait all year for this moment. Seeing the children’s smiles, watching them play, have fun, and still receive a gift is priceless. It’s a memory they’ll carry for a lifetime,” she said.
The toy distribution in Morro do Salgueiro is already part of the school’s annual calendar of social actions, reaffirming Salgueiro’s commitment to social responsibility, inclusion, and strengthening bonds with its community.
