A Independentes de Olaria divulgou as suas fantasias para o desfile de 2025. Assinado pelos carnavalescos Ariel Portes e Ester Domingos, o Lobo forte da Leopoldina levará para a Intendente Magalhães o enredo “Vagalume: O lumiar do rio negro”, em busca do título da Série Prata e a vaga na Marquês de Sapucaí em 2026.

A escola embarca em mais uma viagem ao passado desfilando sobre o olhar cronista de Francisco Guimarães, o “Vagalume”, um dos raros jornalistas negros de seu tempo e principal cronista carnavalesco das ruas do Rio Antigo.

– Nós tivemos um processo de criação muito árduo, mas muito satisfatório também, e estamos muito felizes com o resultado que chegamos. Nós temos um enredo que é muito especial, muito forte e que traz uma mensagem política muito marcante em homenagem ao grande jornalista Francisco Guimaraes e esperamos que o nosso trabalho seja capaz de honrar o seu legado. Para nós é uma honra vestir a Independentes de Olaria, a comunidade recebeu a gente muito bem, já nos sentimos em casa. – Revelou Ester.

Será a estreia da dupla na agremiação e já com um enredo tão importante e necessário. Dentro da realidade do grupo, a escola buscou boas soluções para dar vida ao enredo. Após divulgar nas redes sociais, a repercussão foi positiva e aumentou ainda mais a procura de vagas para o desfile, que acontece no dia 03 de março, abrindo o segundo dia de desfiles da Série Prata.

– Essa é uma grande oportunidade de mostrar nosso trabalho, dar vida às nossas criações. É muito bacana ver as ideias saírem das nossas cabeças e ganharem forma. Por ser uma escola da série prata, acabamos ganhando muitas doações, então um grande desafio que tivemos foi trabalhar em cima dessas peças que vieram de outras agremiações maiores. E essa foi uma parte muito prazerosa do nosso processo criativo, pensar em como desconstruir e construir algo novo a partir de algo que já existe. Assim, a gente tentou imprimir a nossa identidade esteticamente e propor soluções autorais para os figurinos. – finaliza Ariel.

Meet the Costumes of Independentes de Olaria for Carnival 2025

Independentes de Olaria has revealed its costumes for the 2025 parade. Designed by carnival artists Ariel Portes and Ester Domingos, the strong Wolf of Leopoldina will bring the theme “Firefly: The Luminescence of the Black River” to Intendente Magalhães, competing for the Série Prata title and a spot at Marquês de Sapucaí in 2026.

The school embarks on another journey into the past, portraying the chronicler’s perspective of Francisco Guimarães, known as “Firefly,” one of the few Black journalists of his time and the main chronicler of Rio de Janeiro’s old street carnivals.

• “We went through a very arduous yet highly satisfying creative process, and we are thrilled with the results we’ve achieved. Our theme is very special, powerful, and carries a striking political message in homage to the great journalist Francisco Guimarães. We hope our work honors his legacy. It’s an honor for us to represent Independentes de Olaria; the community has welcomed us warmly, and we already feel at home,” revealed Ester.

This will be the duo’s debut with the school, presenting such an important and necessary theme. Within the group’s reality, the school sought creative solutions to bring the theme to life. After revealing the designs on social media, the positive reception increased interest in parade spots, scheduled for March 3rd, opening the second day of Série Prata parades.

• “This is a great opportunity to showcase our work and bring our creations to life. It’s amazing to see ideas leave our minds and take shape. Since it’s a Série Prata school, we received many donations, so one of our challenges was to work with these pieces from larger schools. This was also one of the most enjoyable parts of our creative process—figuring out how to deconstruct and reconstruct something new from what already existed. Through this, we aimed to imprint our aesthetic identity and propose original solutions for the costumes,” concludes Ariel.

2025年のカーニバルに向けたインデペンデンテス・デ・オラリアの衣装をご覧ください

インデペンデンテス・デ・オラリアは、2025年のパレード用衣装を発表しました。カーニバルアーティストのアリエル・ポルテスとエステル・ドミンゴスによるデザインで、レオポルジーナの力強いオオカミが「ホタル：黒い川の光明」というテーマをインテンデンテ・マガリャンイスに届け、セーリ・プラッタのタイトルと2026年のマルケス・ジ・サプカイへの出場権を目指します。

学校は、リオの古き街角を記録した黒人ジャーナリストの一人であり、カーニバルの主要な記録者であるフランシスコ・ギマランエス（「ホタル」）の視点をテーマに、もう一度過去への旅に出ます。

-「私たちは非常に厳しいですが、とても満足のいくクリエイティブプロセスを経てきました。そして、達成した結果に非常に満足しています。このテーマは特別で力強く、偉大なジャーナリストであるフランシスコ・ギマランエスを称える、重要な政治的メッセージを含んでいます。私たちの作品が彼の遺産を讃えるものであることを願っています。インデペンデンテス・デ・オラリアを代表することは私たちにとって光栄であり、コミュニティは私たちを暖かく迎え入れてくれました。すでに自宅のように感じています。」とエステルは語りました。

このデュオにとって、この学校でのデビュー作となり、重要で必要なテーマに挑みます。このグループの現実の中で、学校はテーマに命を吹き込むための創造的な解決策を模索しました。ソーシャルメディアでデザインを公開した後、反響は好意的で、3月3日に予定されているセーリ・プラッタのパレード第2日目の冒頭を飾るこのイベントへの関心がさらに高まりました。

-「これは私たちの仕事を披露し、私たちの創造を現実にする素晴らしい機会です。頭の中のアイデアが形になるのを見るのは本当に素晴らしいです。セーリ・プラッタの学校なので、多くの寄付を受けました。そのため、より大きな学校から来たこれらの部品を活用することが課題の一つでした。また、既存のものを解体して新しいものを作り出すという創造的なプロセスのこの部分は非常に楽しいものでした。これを通じて、私たちの美的なアイデンティティを刻み、衣装に独自の解決策を提案しようとしました。」とアリエルは締めくくりました。
