Imperatriz Leopoldinense Holds Final Street Rehearsal Before Carnival This Sunday (9th)

_Rainha de Ramos já se prepara para os dois ensaios técnicos, nos dias 15 e 23 de fevereiro, e para o desfile em março_
A poucas semanas do desfile deste ano, a Imperatriz Leopoldinense, atual vice-campeã do Carnaval carioca, se despede neste domingo (09) da sua temporada de ensaios de rua.
A partir das quatro da tarde, a Rainha de Ramos estará pela última vez antes do Carnaval 2025 na Rua Euclides Faria, em Ramos, Zona da Leopoldina do Rio, com a participação de toda a sua comunidade e segmentos, além do grande público da região e de turistas que acompanham a escola.
Com ensaios realizados desde novembro, a verde, branco e dourado agora se prepara para os dois ensaios técnicos na Marquês de Sapucaí, que irão se realizar nos dias 15/02 e 23/02. A escola também continuará com seus ensaios de quadra às sextas, que irão seguir normalmente até a véspera da abertura oficial da folia.
A presidente da Imperatriz, Catia Drumond, destacou a qualidade dos ensaios da escola na rua e afirma que a agremiação virá com força total já nos ensaios técnicos.
“A Imperatriz foi uma das primeiras escolas a ir para rua ainda no ano passado, então o nosso planejamento está sendo concluído com excelência. Porque quem quer ser campeão tem que começar a ensaiar antes e ir até a última data possível. E a cada ensaio de rua fica nítida a vontade da nossa comunidade de vencer. Toda semana a escola tem uma evolução melhor. Há quem diga que a escola já está pronta, mas mesmo assim vamos continuar cantando mais, ensaio após ensaio. E quem for à Sapucaí nos ensaios técnicos, e é claro, no desfile, vai ver a força da nossa escola. Com as bençãos de Oxalá, tudo será perfeito”, afirmou a presidente.
No Carnaval 2025, a Imperatriz Leopoldinense tentará o seu 10º campeonato com o enredo _“ÓMI TÚTÚ AO OLÚFON- Água fresca para o Senhor de Ifón”,_ do carnavalesco Leandro Vieira, sendo a segunda a escola a desfilar, no domingo, 02 de março.

Imperatriz Leopoldinense Holds Final Street Rehearsal Before Carnival This Sunday (9th)
The “Queen of Ramos” is already preparing for two technical rehearsals on February 15 and 23, as well as the parade in March.
With just a few weeks left until this year’s parade, Imperatriz Leopoldinense, the current runner-up of Rio’s Carnival, will hold its final street rehearsal this Sunday (9th).
Starting at 4 PM, the “Queen of Ramos” will take to Euclides Faria Street in Ramos, in Rio’s Leopoldina region, for the last time before Carnival 2025. The event will bring together the entire community, school members, local spectators, and tourists eager to witness the school’s preparations.
Since November, the green, white, and gold powerhouse has been holding rehearsals in the streets. Now, the focus shifts to the two upcoming technical rehearsals at the Sambadrome Marquês de Sapucaí, scheduled for February 15 and 23. The school will also continue its weekly rehearsals at its headquarters every Friday until the official start of the festivities.
Imperatriz’s president, Catia Drumond, highlighted the quality of the street rehearsals and assured that the school will be in full force for the technical run-throughs.
“Imperatriz was one of the first schools to hit the streets last year, so our planning is coming together with excellence. If you want to be a champion, you have to start rehearsing early and go until the very last possible date. With each street rehearsal, it becomes clearer how much our community wants to win. Every week, the school shows improvement. Some say we’re already ready, but we’ll keep singing, rehearsal after rehearsal. Those who come to the technical rehearsals at Sapucaí—and of course, to the parade—will see the strength of our school. With the blessings of Oxalá, everything will be perfect,” said the president.
For Carnival 2025, Imperatriz Leopoldinense will compete for its 10th championship with the samba theme “ÓMI TÚTÚ AO OLÚFON – Fresh Water for the Lord of Ifón” by carnival designer Leandro Vieira. The school will be the second to parade on Sunday, March 2.
