Ministra Anielle Franco visita barracão do Salgueiro e exalta enredo do Carnaval 2025
Na tarde desta sexta-feira (07), a ministra da Igualdade Racial, Anielle Franco, visitou o barracão do G.R.E.S. Acadêmicos do Salgueiro, na Cidade do Samba, antes de participar do lançamento da campanha “Feminicídio Zero no RioCarnaval 2025”. O evento contou com a presença da ministra das Mulheres, Cida Gonçalves, além de autoridades do estado do Rio e personalidades do mundo do samba.
Recebida pelo carnavalesco Jorge Silveira, Anielle Franco conheceu as alegorias e detalhes do enredo que a vermelha e branca da Tijuca levará para a Marquês de Sapucaí neste carnaval. Em um momento marcante, Jorge Silveira destacou a importância da visita da ministra e a representatividade do enredo salgueirense:
“Olha, hoje é um dia muito especial para nós aqui no Salgueiro. É um ano muito especial para nós. Acho que a jornada do Salgueiro esse ano é uma jornada que tem uma representatividade muito importante e a sua presença aqui representa parte dessa nossa luta e é um somatório de esforços para que a gente possa fazer validar aquilo que é de direito da cultura brasileira. E muito obrigado, seja bem-vinda ao Salgueiro.”, declarou Jorge à ministra.
A ministra foi presenteada pela agremiação com uma figa de madeira, remetendo aos amuletos de proteção destacados no enredo. Emocionada com a recepção, Anielle Franco ressaltou o impacto social do carnaval e a importância de valorizar suas raízes:
“Eu sempre digo que a gente não pode esquecer de onde vem, né? E lembrar de onde vem, respeitar quem veio antes, faz parte dessa história da construção de futuro. E o que vocês fazem aqui, o que o carnaval oferece para as pessoas desse país, de cultura, de esperança, de alegria, porque isso também é político, faz com que a gente entenda a nossa real missão de estar aqui.”
A ministra também destacou a força do enredo e do samba-enredo do Salgueiro, que carrega uma mensagem contundente contra a intolerância religiosa:
“O que a gente está vendo aqui e em várias outras escolas também, é a luta para cada vez mais reforçar o respeito, a empatia. Não à toa o samba de vocês aí está no ‘top dos tops’, como uma das músicas mais ouvidas do momento, mas não só isso, foi das mais baixadas, porque tem um recado para dar. Assim como nós, quando estamos no Ministério, falamos da luta, da importância do povo negro, das pessoas respeitarem, humanizarem esse povo, essa sociedade, assim também é o carnaval.”
A ministra se emocionou ao lembrar da irmã, Marielle Franco, vereadora assassinada em 2018, e fez um apelo pelo respeito e pela empatia:
“Propagar o respeito, a empatia. Propagar que cada pessoa tem direito de cultuar aquilo que acredita, da maneira que acredita. Vocês sabem da história da minha melhor amiga, né? Quando a minha irmã é assassinada, um dos motivos, é por defender pessoas que lutam todos os dias contra essas violências.”, destacou Anielle ao falar da importância das escolas de samba na luta contra a intolerância religiosa.
Feminicídio Zero no RioCarnaval 2025
Após a visita ao barracão do Salgueiro, Anielle Franco participou do lançamento da campanha “Feminicídio Zero no RioCarnaval 2025”, que também reforça a luta contra o racismo. A ministra ressaltou a importância da iniciativa:
“A campanha do feminicídio zero é uma campanha não só para o carnaval, mas para que nossas mulheres, todas as pessoas, na verdade, sejam respeitadas. Quando a gente fala de feminicídio no Brasil, a gente tem ali no topo mulheres negras, infelizmente, e a gente tem lutado cada vez mais por isso. Nosso objetivo com essa campanha é dar visibilidade, pedir respeito, mostrar que o ‘não é não’ não é da boca pra fora, e a gente vai seguir impulsionando junto com o Governo Federal, lutando por um país que respeite todas as mulheres.”
“Salgueiro de Corpo Fechado” ultrapassa a marca de 1 milhão de reproduções nas plataformas de streaming
Nesta semana, o samba-enredo do G.R.E.S. Acadêmicos do Salgueiro ultrapassou a marca de 1 milhão de reproduções nas plataformas de streaming, consolidando-se como um dos mais populares desta temporada.
O Salgueiro levará para a Sapucaí, em 2025, o enredo “Salgueiro de Corpo Fechado”, que aborda a força da ancestralidade e a resistência das religiões de matriz africana. Com uma proposta forte e engajada, a escola busca reforçar o respeito à diversidade religiosa e à cultura afro-brasileira, promovendo uma reflexão sobre a importância da tolerância e da valorização das tradições que construíram a história do país.
A Academia do Samba é a terceira escola a desfilar na Marquês de Sapucaí na segunda-feira de Carnaval, 03 de março.

Minister Anielle Franco Visits Salgueiro’s Barracão and Praises 2025 Carnival Theme
On the afternoon of Friday (07), the Minister of Racial Equality, Anielle Franco, visited the barracão of G.R.E.S. Acadêmicos do Salgueiro at Cidade do Samba before attending the launch of the “Feminicídio Zero no RioCarnaval 2025” campaign. The event was attended by the Minister of Women, Cida Gonçalves, as well as state authorities and prominent figures from the samba community.
Welcomed by carnival designer Jorge Silveira, Anielle Franco explored the floats and details of the theme that the red and white school from Tijuca will bring to Marquês de Sapucaí this year. In a touching moment, Jorge Silveira emphasized the significance of the minister’s visit and the powerful message behind Salgueiro’s theme:
“Today is a very special day for us here at Salgueiro. This is a special year for us. I believe that Salgueiro’s journey this year carries deep significance, and your presence here represents part of our fight. It’s a collective effort to uphold what is rightfully part of Brazilian culture. Thank you, and welcome to Salgueiro.”
The minister was presented with a wooden figa, a charm symbolizing protection, which is highlighted in the theme. Moved by the warm reception, Anielle Franco spoke about the social impact of Carnival and the importance of honoring its roots:
“I always say we must never forget where we come from. Remembering our origins and respecting those who came before us is part of building the future. What you do here, what Carnival offers to the people of this country—culture, hope, joy—is political. It helps us understand our true mission.”
Anielle also praised the strength of Salgueiro’s theme and samba-enredo, which carries a strong message against religious intolerance:
“What we are seeing here, and in many other schools as well, is the ongoing fight to reinforce respect and empathy. It’s no coincidence that your samba is at the top of the charts—it’s one of the most played songs right now. But more than that, it has been widely downloaded because it carries an important message. Just as we, in the Ministry, fight for the importance of Black people and demand respect and humanity for our people and society, Carnival does the same.”
The minister grew emotional when remembering her sister, Marielle Franco, a city councilor assassinated in 2018, and made an appeal for respect and empathy:
“Spreading respect and empathy. Ensuring that every person has the right to worship as they believe, in their own way. You all know my best friend’s story, right? When my sister was murdered, one of the reasons was because she defended people who fight daily against these injustices.”
Feminicídio Zero no RioCarnaval 2025
After visiting Salgueiro’s barracão, Anielle Franco participated in the launch of the “Feminicídio Zero no RioCarnaval 2025” campaign, which also reinforces the fight against racism. The minister highlighted the importance of the initiative:
“The Feminicídio Zero campaign is not just for Carnival; it’s about ensuring that our women—and all people, really—are respected. When we talk about femicide in Brazil, we see that Black women are at the top of the statistics, unfortunately. We have been fighting harder and harder against this reality. Our goal with this campaign is to bring visibility, demand respect, and show that ‘no means no’ is not just words—it must be upheld. We will continue to push forward with the Federal Government, striving for a country that respects all women.”
“Salgueiro de Corpo Fechado” Surpasses 1 Million Streams
This week, the samba-enredo of G.R.E.S. Acadêmicos do Salgueiro surpassed 1 million streams on digital platforms, solidifying its place as one of the most popular of the season.
In 2025, Salgueiro will take the theme “Salgueiro de Corpo Fechado” to Sapucaí, celebrating the power of ancestry and the resilience of Afro-Brazilian religions. With a strong and engaged message, the school seeks to reinforce respect for religious diversity and Afro-Brazilian culture, promoting reflection on the importance of tolerance and appreciation for the traditions that have shaped Brazil’s history.
The Academia do Samba will be the third school to parade at Marquês de Sapucaí on Monday, March 3rd.
