Intérprete estreou na agremiação no Carnaval 2024
A Unidos da Tijuca para o carnaval 2026 não seguirá com o intérprete Ito Melodia no microfone oficial da escola. Ito Melodia, filho de Aroldo Melodia, que teve uma conhecida e longa trajetória comandando o carro de som da União da Ilha, se despede como intérprete oficial da escola do Morro do Borel no Carro de Som do Pavão.
Ito estreou como intérprete oficial em 1996 ao lado do seu pai. De 2002 a 2022, Ito Melodia foi o cantor da tricolor insulana. Pela União da Ilha recebeu seis vezes o prêmio Estandarte de Ouro, além do Estrela do Carnaval, Tamborim de Ouro, entre muitos outros. Em 2010, gravou o cd “ O samba em minha vida” além de gravações produzidas por Mauro Diniz e Prateado, fazendo turnê com o show “Raízes”. Pela Unidos da Tijuca foi campeão do prêmio Estandarte de Ouro de melhor intérprete do Grupo Especial do Carnaval 2025
A Unidos da Tijuca se reestrutura internamente para o Carnaval 2026 com o objetivo de melhores notas, almejando o campeonato do Grupo Especial do carnaval carioca.

Singer made his debut with the school in Carnival 2024
For Carnival 2026, Unidos da Tijuca will not continue with Ito Melodia as the school’s official singer. Ito Melodia, son of Aroldo Melodia—who had a long and renowned career leading União da Ilha’s sound system—now bids farewell as the official singer of the Morro do Borel samba school, leaving his position in the Pavão Sound Car.
Ito made his debut as an official singer in 1996 alongside his father. From 2002 to 2022, he was the lead singer of the Tricolor Insulana. With União da Ilha, he won the prestigious Estandarte de Ouro award six times, as well as the Estrela do Carnaval, Tamborim de Ouro, and many others. In 2010, he released the album O Samba em Minha Vida and worked on recordings produced by Mauro Diniz and Prateado, later touring with the show Raízes.
For Unidos da Tijuca, Ito won the Estandarte de Ouro award for Best Singer in the Special Group of Carnival 2025. The samba school is now undergoing internal restructuring for Carnival 2026, aiming for higher scores and striving for the Special Group championship of Rio de Janeiro’s Carnival.
