Imperatriz Leopoldinense Institute Distributes 2,500 Roses in Honor of Mother’s Day

*Instituto Imperatriz Leopoldinense distribui 2.500 rosas em homenagem ao dia das mães*

_Ação aconteceu pelas ruas do Complexo do Alemão, Complexo da Maré, Complexo de Manguinhos e nos demais bairros da Zona da Leopoldina_

Em mais uma ação social de seu Instituto, a Imperatriz Leopoldinense foi neste sábado (10) às ruas do Complexo do Alemão, Complexo da Maré, Complexo de Manguinhos e toda Zona da Leopoldina para uma homenagem às mães da região.

Ao longo de toda a manhã de véspera do dia das mães, 2.500 rosas foram distribuídas por voluntários e parceiros do Instituto, como forma de carinho e gratidão às “imperatrizes” das localidades que abrigam a escola, 9 vezes campeã do Carnaval carioca.

A ação percorreu os bairros de Ramos, Grota, Nova Brasília, Fazendinha, Inhaúma, Penha, Bonsucesso, Olaria, Nova Holanda e Vila dos Pinheiros.

O presidente do Instituto Imperatriz e atual diretor financeiro da LIESA, João Felipe Drumond, celebrou a ação e agradeceu os voluntários pelo trabalho dedicado.

“É um gesto de carinho, que com certeza significa muito para as mães da Zona da Leopoldina. Elas merecem esse amor. Só tenho a agradecer aos voluntários do nosso Instituto, que fazem possíveis lindas ações acontecerem.”

A presidente da Imperatriz Leopoldinense, Catia Drumond, também destacou a atividade:

“Como mãe, acho muito especial, por tudo que essas mulheres representam no dia-a-dia de suas famílias e pela força que carregam durante toda a vida. Precisamos dessa atenção e afeto, acho maravilhoso”, afirmou Catia.

In another social initiative by its Institute, Imperatriz Leopoldinense took to the streets this Saturday (10th) in Complexo do Alemão, Complexo da Maré, Complexo de Manguinhos, and the entire Leopoldina Zone to pay tribute to the mothers of the region. Throughout the morning, on the eve of Mother’s Day, 2,500 roses were distributed by volunteers and partners of the Institute as a gesture of love and gratitude to the “empresses” of the communities that host the samba school, which has won the Rio Carnival title nine times.
The initiative covered the neighborhoods of Ramos, Grota, Nova Brasília, Fazendinha, Inhaúma, Penha, Bonsucesso, Olaria, Nova Holanda, and Vila dos Pinheiros.
The president of the Imperatriz Institute and current financial director of LIESA, João Felipe Drumond, celebrated the action and thanked the volunteers for their dedicated work. “It’s a gesture of affection that surely means a lot to the mothers of the Leopoldina Zone. They deserve this love. I can only thank our Institute’s volunteers who make such beautiful actions possible.”
The president of Imperatriz Leopoldinense, Catia Drumond, also highlighted the initiative: “As a mother, I find it very special, considering everything these women represent in the daily lives of their families and the strength they carry throughout their lives. We need this attention and affection, I think it’s wonderful,” said Catia.
