Tia Surica faz feijoada em apoio à Chapa que disputa da presidência da Portela e alfineta: “Artista não vota”
A Feijoada da Tia Surica, Patrimônio Histórico e Cultural do Estado do Rio de Janeiro, deu um sabor mais que especial ao domingo dos portelenses.
Com a combinação perfeita entre o sucesso de seus temperos e toda a história da matriarca na agremiação, o prato foi a principal atração do evento que aconteceu no último domingo (18/05), na quadra do Sapê Esporte Clube, em Rocha Miranda. Reunindo centenas de apoiadores da Chapa Supera Portela, que traz o advogado, Dr. Léo como candidato à Presidência da azul e branco de Madureira, acompanhado pelo empresário André Martinelli na vice presidência.
Mas não foi só na cozinha que Tia Surica deu um show, ela também participou da roda de samba, onde relembrou alguns sambas antigos da Portela, e as melhores da velha guarda da Portela. Sem perder o foco do evento, ela também aproveitou a proximidade das eleições para mandar o seu recado.
“Vamos esperar o dia da eleição e na hora lá na urna vamos saber quem é sócio e quem não é. Artista não vota”, começou Tia Surica, acrescentando em seguida: “Eu tenho confiança nessa gestão formada pela Supera Portela, não só eu, como o Noca, Mauro Diniz… tudo portelense e estamos muito confiantes. Porque o negócio não é dizer que é raiz, o negócio é fazer. Raiz todo mundo é, só que tem algumas raízes que apodrecem”.

The Feijoada da Tia Surica, recognized as a Historical and Cultural Heritage of the State of Rio de Janeiro, added an extra special flavor to Sunday for Portela fans.
Blending the success of her signature dishes with her deep-rooted legacy in the samba school, the feijoada was the main attraction at an event held last Sunday (May 18) at the Sapê Esporte Clube court in Rocha Miranda. The event gathered hundreds of supporters of the Chapa Supera Portela ticket, led by lawyer Dr. Léo as candidate for president of Madureira’s blue and white samba school, with businessman André Martinelli running as vice president.
But Tia Surica didn’t just shine in the kitchen. She also joined the samba circle, revisiting classic Portela sambas and celebrating with members of the school’s velha guarda (old guard). Staying on message, she took the opportunity to comment on the upcoming election.
— Let’s wait for election day, and at the ballot box we’ll see who’s actually a member and who’s not. Artists don’t vote — said Tia Surica pointedly, then added: — I trust the leadership proposed by Supera Portela, not just me, but also Noca, Mauro Diniz… we’re all Portela through and through, and we’re very confident. Because it’s not about saying you’re “rooted,” it’s about taking action. Everyone claims to be rooted — some roots rot, though.
