UNIDOS DE PADRE MIGUEL ABRE INSCRIÇÕES PARA ESCOLINHA DE PERCUSSÃO E LANÇA SUA BATERIA MIRIM
A Unidos de Padre Miguel está com inscrições abertas para sua Escolinha de Percussão e Bateria Mirim, um projeto social e cultural voltado à formação de novos ritmistas e à promoção da cultura do samba entre crianças e jovens da comunidade.
As aulas são gratuitas e acontecerão todas as quintas-feiras, a partir do dia 29/05, das 19h às 21h, na quadra da escola. Os participantes poderão aprender a tocar instrumentos essenciais da bateria, como cuíca, tamborim, chocalho, caixa, repique e surdos. As inscrições seguem abertas até o dia 26 de maio, e podem ser feitas diretamente pelo WhatsApp, no número (21) 98034-5067. Podem participar crianças a partir dos 07 anos, adolescentes e adultos.
O projeto marca também o lançamento oficial da Bateria Mirim da Unidos de Padre Miguel, idealizada por Mestre Laion, atual responsável pela Bateria Guerreiros da Unidos, e tem como objetivo formar desde cedo os ritmistas que, futuramente, integrarão a bateria oficial da escola.
“Esse projeto é um sonho antigo. Sempre quisemos ampliar nosso trabalho para além da avenida, oferecendo oportunidade e formação para as crianças da comunidade. A Bateria Mirim vai muito além da música: é cidadania, disciplina, alegria e pertencimento. É de onde sairão os futuros guerreiros da nossa bateria”, afirma Mestre Laion.
Como símbolo do sucesso da escolinha e da força da comunidade, a agremiação anuncia o jovem Gustavo, de 19 anos, como o primeiro mestre da Bateria Mirim. Cria do bairro, ele iniciou sua trajetória na escolinha de percussão em 2019, ingressou na bateria oficial um ano depois, aos 14 anos, e hoje assume o desafio de liderar e inspirar os novos talentos.
“Comecei aqui pequeno, aprendendo aos poucos, e me apaixonei pela percussão. Ter sido escolhido como mestre da Bateria Mirim é uma honra enorme. Quero ajudar outras crianças a descobrirem esse amor e seguirem o mesmo caminho que eu”, declara Gustavo.

Unidos de Padre Miguel is now accepting registrations for its Percussion School and Youth Drum Section, a social and cultural initiative aimed at training new percussionists and promoting samba culture among children and youth in the community.
Classes are free and will take place every Thursday from 7 PM to 9 PM, starting May 29, at the school’s samba hall. Participants will have the opportunity to learn how to play key percussion instruments such as cuíca, tamborim, chocalho, snare drum, repique, and surdo. Registration is open until May 26 and can be completed via WhatsApp at (21) 98034-5067. Children from 7 years old, as well as teens and adults, are welcome to join.
The project also marks the official launch of Unidos de Padre Miguel’s Youth Drum Section, an initiative led by Mestre Laion, the current director of the school’s Guerreiros da Unidos drum corps. The goal is to start developing percussionists early on, preparing them to eventually join the school’s official bateria.
— This project is a long-held dream. We’ve always wanted to extend our work beyond the parade avenue by offering opportunities and education for the community’s children. The Youth Drum Section goes far beyond music — it’s about citizenship, discipline, joy, and a sense of belonging. This is where the future warriors of our drum corps will come from — said Mestre Laion.
As a symbol of the project’s success and the strength of the community, the school proudly announces 19-year-old Gustavo as the first Mestre (drum leader) of the Youth Drum Section. A local native, he began his journey in the percussion school in 2019, joined the official drum corps one year later at age 14, and now takes on the role of leading and inspiring new talents.
— I started here as a kid, learning little by little, and I fell in love with percussion. Being chosen as the Youth Drum Section’s mestre is an incredible honor. I want to help other kids discover this passion and follow the same path I did — said Gustavo.
