O governador Cláudio Castro anunciou, nesta quarta-feira (21/05), a realização de um novo concurso público para a Fundação Theatro Municipal do Rio de Janeiro. Após 12 anos, o certame vai oferecer 110 vagas para cargos efetivos nas áreas artística, técnica e administrativa.

Na última terça-feira (20/05), a Comissão da Secretaria de Fazenda – responsável por analisar os pedidos de despesas com base nas regras do Regime de Recuperação Fiscal – emitiu parecer favorável à realização do concurso. Com a autorização, a direção do Theatro Municipal dará início aos trâmites para contratação da banca organizadora e elaboração do edital.

The announcement includes 110 permanent positions in artistic, technical, and administrative areas.

Governor Cláudio Castro announced this Wednesday (May 21) the launch of a new public hiring process for the Theatro Municipal Foundation of Rio de Janeiro. After 12 years, the initiative will offer 110 permanent positions across artistic, technical, and administrative departments.

“We are restoring the state’s cultural leadership. The Theatro Municipal is a symbol of our heritage and deserves a technical staff worthy of its history. This public hiring is more than just replenishing the workforce. It is an investment in the culture of Rio de Janeiro, in the talent of our professionals, and in preserving one of Brazil’s greatest cultural icons. We will ensure that the Theatro continues to be a national and international reference in artistic quality,” declared Governor Cláudio Castro.

On Tuesday (May 20), the Finance Department Committee—responsible for reviewing expenditure requests under the Fiscal Recovery Regime—issued a favorable opinion on the initiative. With the authorization granted, the Theatro Municipal’s management will now begin the procedures for selecting the organizing body and drafting the official notice.

“We are very pleased with the announcement of this public hiring to bring in new staff for the artistic teams of the Theatro Municipal. It’s a long-awaited achievement that will certainly strengthen the institution’s work in delivering programming and democratizing access to culture,” said Clara Paulino, president of the Theatro Municipal.
