_A convite da presidente Catia Drumond, Yago Savalla, de 16 anos, irá desfilar em uma das alegorias da Rainha de Ramos_

Depois de sua performance de “Homem com H” viralizar nas redes sociais na última semana, o jovem Yago Savalla, de 16 anos, vai desfilar no Carnaval 2026 da Imperatriz Leopoldinense.

A escola, que no próximo ano levará para a Marquês de Sapucaí o enredo “Camaleônico”, em homenagem a obra do artista Ney Matogrosso, vai trazer o estudante maranhense, aluno do segundo ano do ensino médio, de Salvador, Bahia, onde mora com a família, para o maior espetáculo da Terra, no Rio de Janeiro.

A convite da presidente Catia Drumond, feito a mãe de Yago, o rapaz, que durante uma apresentação de escola fez sucesso e conseguiu chamar a atenção do próprio Ney, arrancando elogios do artista, sairá em uma das alegorias do desfile idealizado pelo carnavalesco Leandro Vieira.

“Assim que o vídeo viralizou, na hora pensei: ‘esse menino precisa desfilar com a gente’. Entramos em contato com a mãe, fizemos o convite, eles aceitaram participar, e agora estamos muito felizes de ter esse jovem talentoso, que se entregou de corpo e alma na perfomance, no carnaval da Imperatriz ano que vem”, afirmou a presidente Catia Drumond.

Yago, que com seu vídeo ultrapassou a marca de 4 milhões de visualizações somente no TikTok, descreveu sua emoção ao ser convidado para fazer parte do desfile da verde, branco e dourado, nove vezes campeã do Carnaval carioca.

“Vai ser um enorme prazer estar na avenida ano que vem. Nunca imaginaria que essa repercussão chegaria até a escola, e sou muito grato por isso. Obrigado mesmo pelo convite”.

Em 2026, a Imperatriz Leopoldinense será a segunda escola a desfilar no domingo de Carnaval, dia 15/02.

Following the viral success of his performance of “Homem com H” on social media last week, 16-year-old Yago Savalla will join Imperatriz Leopoldinense’s 2026 Carnival parade. The school, which will bring the theme Camaleônico to the Marquês de Sapucaí in honor of the work of artist Ney Matogrosso, is bringing the high school sophomore—originally from Maranhão and currently living with his family in Salvador, Bahia—to Rio de Janeiro to take part in the greatest show on Earth.
At the invitation of Imperatriz’s president, Cátia Drumond—extended through Yago’s mother—the young performer, who wowed audiences with a school performance that caught the attention of Ney Matogrosso himself, will take part in one of the floats conceived by carnival designer Leandro Vieira.
“As soon as the video went viral, I thought right away: ‘this boy has to parade with us.’ We contacted his mother, extended the invitation, they accepted, and now we’re thrilled to have this talented young man—who poured his heart and soul into the performance—with us in next year’s Carnival,” said President Cátia Drumond.
Yago, whose video surpassed 4 million views on TikTok alone, shared his excitement about the opportunity to be part of the green, white, and gold school’s parade—nine-time champion of Rio’s Carnival.
“It’s going to be a huge honor to be on the avenue next year. I never imagined the video would reach the school, and I’m incredibly grateful for this. Thank you so much for the invitation.”
In 2026, Imperatriz Leopoldinense will be the second school to parade on Carnival Sunday, February 15.
