Jorge Amarelloh irá ao quarto ano à frente da bateria da Em Cima da Hora
O reinado continua! Jorge Amarelloh irá ao seu quarto ano à frente da bateria Sintonia de Cavalcanti no carnaval de 2026. Rei de bateria da Em Cima da Hora, Jorge firmou o seu nome com a comunidade da azul e branca e seguirá reinando para os ritmistas comandados pelo Mestre Léo Capoeira.
Carinhosamente conhecido como “Reizinho de Cavalcante”, Jorge estreou à frente da bateria no carnaval de 2022 e seguiu em 2023 e 2025. Reconhecido internacionalmente por sua dedicação à divulgação da cultura popular e ao samba no pé, o sambista enalteceu a agremiação pela confiança em seu nome.
- Estar à frente de uma bateria não é fácil, ainda mais uma figura masculina. Só tenho de agradecer a presidência e toda diretoria da escola pela confiança, ao meu mestre e a cada ritmista que está ali. Recebo carinho a cada ensaio, a cada evento, estar com eles e com essa comunidade que tanto me acolheu é me sentir em casa. Vamos com tudo rumo a 2026. – Revela Jorge.
A Em Cima da Hora será a segunda escola a desfilar no sábado de carnaval pela Série Ouro em 2026. A escola levará para a Marquês de Sapucaí o enredo “SOCOA-Y-REMA: Onde o altar encontra o mar”, do carnavalesco Rodrigo Almeida.

Jorge Amarelloh Enters His Fourth Year Leading the Em Cima da Hora Drum Section
The reign continues! Jorge Amarelloh will enter his fourth year leading the Sintonia de Cavalcanti drum section at the 2026 Carnival. As the drum king of Em Cima da Hora, Jorge has solidified his name within the blue-and-white community and will continue to lead the rhythmists under the command of Mestre Léo Capoeira.
Affectionately known as the “Little King of Cavalcanti,” Jorge made his debut in front of the drum section at Carnival 2022, returning again in 2023 and 2025. Internationally recognized for his dedication to promoting popular culture and samba dancing, the samba artist expressed gratitude for the school’s continued trust in him.
“Leading a drum section is no easy task—especially as a male figure. I can only thank the school’s president and board of directors for their trust, my mestre, and every single ritmista who is there. I feel their affection at every rehearsal and event. Being with them and with this community that embraced me so warmly—it truly feels like home. Let’s go full force toward 2026,” said Jorge.
Em Cima da Hora will be the second samba school to parade on Carnival Saturday in the 2026 Série Ouro. The school will take to Marquês de Sapucaí with the theme “SOCOA-Y-REMA: Where the Altar Meets the Sea”, by carnival designer Rodrigo Almeida.
